Here in the US, it takes 3 months for the FBI to get you a background check. Just wondering if I should order another NOW just in case the one they have expires before they get to it. That way I can send in the new one right away instead of waiting another 3 months. OR, if I order a new one now, does it negate the one they have?
Hope all is well for everyone. Trying to be patient!
Have a great day!
I agree with danawhitaker. In your case, it's very unlikely that Ottawa will request an additional PCC due to yours expiring (I haven't heard about that happening to anyone else), but even if that were to happen, you can use an FBI Channeler that they list on the CIC site, and you'll have a new PCC in less than a week (as little as a few minutes).danawhitaker said:What matters is the time it arrives at CIC initially, I believe. I got mine in June, and CIC did not request a new one from me. However, if you're a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, you can use a channeler, which would have cut that three month wait time down to as little as about five minutes (depending on which channeler you use).
