Does anyone know if your background check expires before they approve it will they ask for a new one?

Here in the US, it takes 3 months for the FBI to get you a background check. Just wondering if I should order another NOW just in case the one they have expires before they get to it. That way I can send in the new one right away instead of waiting another 3 months. OR, if I order a new one now, does it negate the one they have?

Hope all is well for everyone. Trying to be patient!
Have a great day!

What matters is the time it arrives at CIC initially, I believe. I got mine in June, and CIC did not request a new one from me. However, if you're a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, you can use a channeler, which would have cut that three month wait time down to as little as about five minutes (depending on which channeler you use).

I agree with danawhitaker. In your case, it's very unlikely that Ottawa will request an additional PCC due to yours expiring (I haven't heard about that happening to anyone else), but even if that were to happen, you can use an FBI Channeler that they list on the CIC site, and you'll have a new PCC in less than a week (as little as a few minutes).

hi, congratulation and god bless him/her inshallah

actualy you do not need to write to CIC about the new born since HE/she is canadian citizen they have nothing to do with it, but it is just good to proof that your mariage is real ... BUT YOU NEED TO ASK FOR HIM/HER A CITIZENSHIP CERTIFICATE. so here you need to go to canadian ambassy in Manila to apply for the certificate so then they will send to canada to register your new born and send you back the citizenship certificate.... then return to the ambassy to ask for his/her Canadian passport

Thank you so much for your response

Hello House,

Just found this group and being a Nov. 2016 applicant, I have to be part of it. ;D

Can I be included in the spreadsheet? My timeline shows 2 applications. My PR via EE (which is completed) and the more important spousal application. Thank you.

Visa office: Accra
App filed: Nov. 25
Med done: Oct. 24 - Passed
AOR1: Dec. 06
SA, file transfer and in progress: Dec. 12.
AOR2: MIA.

And has been quiet since then.

I sent a GCMS note yesterday and submit a case-specific enquiry for the application right now.
I'll hope that they give me a new information about my application.

Hi all,
just a quick question. Do you think I will be able to send a document to VO without it being requested? One of my friends who recently went though this application said that you can just go ahead and send it to the VO and they will add it to the file? Has anyone done that? We are thinking of sending a Police Certificate that they may or may not request in the future. Just trying to be proactive.
Thanks

Ankara ask me (email) for completing new (IMM 5669) Schedule A: Background / Declaration – with no blanks please form with paying RPRF. Are you thinking the PPR is close to my application?

I am an October Applicant and I submitted new supporting documents to the VO office without it being requested and it was added to my file. When providing the documents via e-mail provide them with your UCI No. D.O.B, Name and Application No.

Hi MonzB. Can you please tell me a little bit more on how you provided documents via e-mail? In the SA attached document, the CIC mentioned that we need to use case-specific enquiries form. Did you use those? Any details are appreciated. Thanks

Yea! I've been in that group long before I applied. Even from my EE days, lol
