Yes every time you communicate to CIC you have to use the UCI number for reference. You can also mention that you wish to stay with your spouse while waiting for the pending Spousal application. Just make sure you won't violate any regulation in Canada. As a tourist you are not allowed to work.

Thanks for your reply, I have been here in Canada for over a year with my multiple visa and I live by the rules stipulated on my visa status this way I know I won't get into any trouble in the future.

Here's a new question on the visitors visa application form no 5257 Background information Q#2C. Have you previously applied to enter or remain in Canada? Yes or No?

For me I would say Yes because I did apply for my visitors visa and plus I did apply for my permanent residency.

I need your opinion

I would say mark Yes and write an explanation that it was a visitors visa and that you applied for PR.
