I received my SA by email on Dec 10. On my Ecas it says "started processing on Dec 16". That means to me that Ottawa (my VO) is processing my app. You should be able to click on "in process" and see what other info it gives you.

It switched from application received to in process but when clicked still just says the 'we recieved your application for PR on blah blah'. Ecas seems to be a bit confusing. Since it says that the PR application for the applicant is now in process I thought we would have heard something about SA,

I see "we started processing..." under the sponsor, not the applicant section....hmmm

although weve gotten SA already under sponsorship it still saids in process and under permanent residence it still saids application received, when exactly is it supposed to change? when it gets to my VO?

As I know PR application status will be in process when VO began to process on your application. And even VO has received it, your application will await its turn. But I don't think they are waiting as much as we did for our sponsor's AOR it's what I want to believe for some of us it took just a few days

Hi All,

Just a question regarding when to start counting.

We received ________ application for permanent residence on May 19, 2015.
We started processing _________ application on July 20, 2015.
Medical results have been received.

Do we start counting on May 19 or July 20?
