Hello!

After waiting for 5 months, CIC finally made contact requesting my sponsor's notice of tax assessment for 2014. He was approved as a sponsor in February- has anyone ever heard about documents regarding the sponsor being requested after SA? I already sent it to them, just thought it was a bit odd... hopefully someone has an insight!

congrats to everyone who already got their PRs/CoPRs!!
Its probably because if he sent in the application in Nov 2014, then he would have sent in 2013 tax assesment. So now that the 2014 taxes have been done they probably just want to see that things are the same or close to his 2013 assessment

hi jenny,

I do have the same case as you, I would just like to know how are your papers? any movement?

Thanks,

toby

I'm excited for everyone here who is getting closer to the end of all of this. I haven't looked at this thread in a while since our application is being processed in Mexico and it seems like we are getting nowhere. I emailed Mexico and found out that our file was transferred Feb 22, but not officially received until May 28, and that it is now in a pile waiting to be reviewed. We have had no updates from Mexico other than the replies from the emails sent to them. I had been hoping to have my husband here by the end of summer but it seems like that won't be happening for us. Good luck to everyone and I hope things are going better for you!

No CSQ no any updates . I should receive CSQ but no I'm still waiting. It's been 3 months of applying for CSQ :-[

Hey guys..
I had my meds redone abou a month ago.
My ecas hasn't changed since march 19th when they got my application in Brazil.
Should I be worried? (More than I'm now)

No COPR in the mail today :-[ I swear the wait for it has been more drawn out than the whole process lol

Finally got my PPR today

Good for you! Congrats! :)
I am still waiting for my COPR, they will send it to our lawyers. I need to be patient and wait until next week to have it in hand. Can't wait anymore! If in Canada where are you based? Thanks

Thanks! I know the wait is brutal. I'm in the Kitchener/Waterloo region. Going to Niagara to land this weekend!

The same for me i think my file was trasnferred on feb 12 but received until may something...because i haven't hear a single thing since feb 12th. Let's hope we'll hear something really really soon. At least let's hope we'll be done with this before the year mark.

lease some advice here:

My trv multiple entries visa expires august 20th. If i go visit hubby to canada august 1st, can the border officer still can give me a 6 month stamp? Or i will only be aloud to stay till august the 20th?

I have entered to canada a couple times before i got married and i left before my extension ended so i have always leaved canada before the date they gave me to leave. But anyway what do you recommend me to show the border officer so they can let me enter without problems? Marriage certificate? What else?

Last time i enter canada before i got married i got a visitor record but i applied to extension and was accepted but i left on time and everything i have never overstayed.

Thank you so much

Hi, im wondering if someone can help me. I applied for permanent residence through family class sponsorship last November and we got SA in early January. I got contacted by cic Ottawa last month saying that my police check was not the original and that I must send another one in, which I did. since then I have not heard anything back from them but i just checked the ECAS today and for the first time in months, its changed! it went from "application received" to "Application for permanent residence in process". It says they started processing my application on July 6th. Does anyone know roughly how long i'm going to be waiting from now? Am I near the end? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
