Does anyone know by any chance if I am able to contact CPC Ottawa by phone? They emailed me again asking for police certificates that I have already sent last week, I am not sure whether they got it or whatever.

I can't complain too much as São Paulo has the shortest processing time from all the countries.
But my application went over the processing time by a bit. I got PPR last week, thanks "Geesss"
I know how frustrating it is to wait and have no idea where they are with your application.
Let's give them some red bull hahahha

Just found this thread, Might as well contribute! My husband is American, we submitted our application November, 2015 I was approved in February. Here is his side for permanent residence:
1. We received ****'s application for permanent residence on November, 24, 2014.
2. We started processing ****'s application on June 9, 2015.
3. Medical results have been received.
4. A decision has been made on ****'s application. The office will contact **** concerning this decision.

It's been almost 2 weeks and I am impatiently waiting and checking the mail. Nothing yet! This has got to be the worst part. "Hey we made a decision! But we are going to leave you guessing and waiting impatiently for a response" Haha.

Congrats on getting the passport request. We weren't even requested to send in his passport ( assuming it is because he is American and visa exempt )
Well at least there's more people than not impatiently waiting. I hope you get answers soon!

I actually called the call center, and the lady pretty much told me the "decision made" means nothing, and that it could take 26 months for completion. But me asking on the forums debunked her theory! hah.

They requested Option C printout and RCMP certificates from me and it never changed from "Application Received"!

Yesterday I got the email requesting my passport, and now logging in it finally changed to Decision Made.

I have already sent out the passport!!! Can't wait to get it back.

Well that makes me happy that you applied same time as me and they are asking you for a passport. maybe mine is right around the corner. Anyone know how long they keep your passport?

hi guys, i received an email today asking me to submit passport style photos as well as copies of the pages of my passport.. bit confused about the photos since i already submitted those with my application but alrighty.. so long as this means i'm approved! ecas has been changed to decision made which at first i got VERY excited about but then after reading the email i'm left a bit confused. it says this:

"Your application for admission to Canada as a Permanent Resident may now be ready to be finalised, conditional to a final admissibility review by the immigration officer. Your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) Form(s) will be valid for your initial entry to Canada until 11/16/2015 (mm/dd/yy)."

and then later this:

"2. VISA VALIDITY

The issuance of your Confirmation of Permanent Resident document(s) is time sensitive so it is important for you to submit your passport(s) when requested.

Once you receive your Confirmation of Permanent Resident document(s), please check the information on it to make sure it is correct. If there are any errors, such as incorrect spelling of name or incorrect date of birth, please inform CPC-Ottawa Visa Office immediately. Your name will appear in the same format as it appears in your passport.

Your permanent resident visa will expire one year after the date of your medical examinations. If your passport or the passports of your spouse or dependent children (if applicable) expire on an earlier date, the visa will expire on the earlier date.

You must travel to Canada and present your immigration documents at a Canadian Port of Entry before they expire. The validity of the Confirmation of Permanent Resident documents cannot be extended. If you fail to enter Canada before this date and still wish to immigrate to Canada, you must reapply by submitting a new application and paying new processing fees. All such applications will be assessed according to the immigration laws in force at the time of receipt of the application. There is no guarantee a future application would be successful. "

so ok, i submit the requested photos and copies of my passport pages but i have until the 11/16 to actual enter canada or else?? is this email my COPR?? there are some forms at the bottom of the email but they just appear to be asking for any changes in family situation and have instructions for the photos.. the date provided doesnt even match the date my medical was done?? sorry for the length!

why don't you try and call them?

Does anyone know how long it takes to issue the VISA on the passport after you have sent it to them? the courier has delivered mine to Ottawa but I have no clue how long they might take!
