Received AOR today afternoon by email. Application was submitted on 20th Nov 2014. Now waiting for SA.

Oh wow congradzz

I didn't realise when I read our SA letter but I guess ours has been sent to Ottawa too. We had nominated Sydney since that is where we both are at the moment. Fingers crossed this means they think we're an easy case and get us done quick! Here is what my letter said:

"You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent
Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing.
Should you need to submit additional information or make any further enquiries regarding the
Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s), you may contact the visa office by e-mail,
fax, or in writing as follows:
CPC-O - Case Processing Centre Ottawa
CPC-Ottawa, NHQ - Centralized Processing Region
219 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa ON
K1A 1L1, Canada
E-mail: CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca
Fax number: (613) 946-6059
This visa office was selected based on your relative’s home address and the requirements of the
Immigration and Refugee Protection Act."

Unfortunately it is serious....let us hope it doesnot affect much..why? becoz its average not MEDIAN

Let me tell you a straneg property of Averaging the sample...and it can be deceptive AT TIMES, not always,,..Average doesnot represent Centre value all the time...as an example for simple understanding
let say there are 5 files (Cases A,B,C,D,E) in VO finalized in 2014, with varying corresponding completion time, and now computer has to give the avg. processing time of VO

Case A 10 months
Case B 6 months
Case C 8 months
Case D 26 months
Case E 30 months

so the avg. processing time of total cases will be 16 months, however one can see that more than 50% cases (Case A, B, C) were solved wilth an avg. processing time of 8 months...so it can be deceptive at times...
(Also VO accounts 80% of the cases rules when they calculate Avg. time, so they try to beat these data OUTLIERS to some extent). Well maybe it will give us guys a ray of hope...

Anyway bitter fact is LVO avg. time surpassed the 1 year time and its now almost 2.5 years....

Omg.....it really changed...

You mean it does not metter of increasing VO processing time and they won't take exactly 29 months to process ? That's great if they don't take 29 months

My visa office is Singapore. It was 31 month for step 2 but last update is 30 month

every case is distinct in its nature atleast a bit...INCREASED VO time for STAGE 2 is certainly a bad news, coz the queue time is longer, however it also depends on ur file too.

This 29 months as i have clarified in my previous thread messages is the result of many cases pending there , 2012-2013 (file transfer from one VO to another) and since they solve in 2014, therfore the processing time average increases..becasue these cases were 2012 files...
In my view, we will see next quartely update of VO processing time somewhere again 25 months..coz they have a lot of LOG in their office...

Just be hopeful, your turn can come anytime between 9-14 months...I assume

Thanks you just made my day. I thought they will take 30 months to process my application

You guys are right!! Processing times for different VOs were changed. I just checked and São Paulo went from 11 months to 8 months.
Not sure if it really means a lot, as every application is different and they all require different amounts of time to be processed, but anyway, that is good News for São Paulo applicants.

Finally received my SA today by e-mail after 91 days!! Hope it speeds up on stage 2! ;D
