Are you serious? It took some people this long to get sponsorship approval. Wow I would be flying off the wall in anger if it took that long. (the Hulk in me would come out). I am happy you got your approval but sad it took so long hopefully the second part is twice as fast.

So it was cheaper for me to buy a round trip ticket to Vancouver so I have a return flight 2 weeks after my arrival..upon arriving should I say I'm going back in 2 weeks or just tell them I am visiting my wife for the 6 months I'm allowed to be here a visitor? If I say I'm visiting for 6 months, what info should I provide them so that they will let me through customs with the least amount of hassle?!

I would say your visiting your wife. Just so they dont give you less time on your visa than the 6 months. Have the copy of your sponsorship approval, proof you can be supported while in Canada. They may not ask for anything, but it is betrer to be safe than sorry in my opinion!

Some seniors or others who have done it may have some great advice!

We haven't received anything yet but the Application Number.
I have sent an e-mail and called them, and nothing yet about the Sponsorship approval!
