Things seem to be a bit quiet at CIC. I was looking at the processing times for October and noticed alot of applicants recieved their AOR within 17 - 23 days with a couple of exceptions. One recieved their AOR in 15 days. I know its the beginning of the week and CIC needs a couple of days to get in the groove but I hop to hear something this week,,,,,,,They have had my app for 20 days. Could be jumping the gun a bit but hey, what else can you do except check the boards and hope..... ;D

lol i've been doing the same thing, checking the previous months spreadsheets just to get an idea of how quick other [people got their approval. gives me higher hopes sometimes :p also congratulations abde! i'm super jealous of you lol, can't wait to finally get our approval! it'll make things seem like theyre gioing by much faster after that

Thx, I'm sure you will hear something this week! Fingers crossed :D

Well the olny thing I know for sure is that the Oct applicant process was alot quicker than previous months and that reading previous spreadsheets tends to drive one nuts in the patience dept.

congrats abde! that's truly great. ;D

Wow that is great news, Congrats.....and extremely quick :D

wow this is nutssssssss. congratulations islandannie!!! happy for you : ) ive been checking my email multiple times a day since ive seen that two of the november applicants have already received approval. i have one question though, that may or may not have an answer... but how is that people who submitted their application later in the month got approval before those who submitted their applications at the beginning of the month? not that i care cause i know itll come soon, but i just find it odd how CIC is processing these applications. maybe its because they go through the shorter stacks of paper before they go through the big ones? lol, just a wild guess but they seem all over the place with these things.

oh and one more question. i put my husbands e-mail on the sponsor applications, and my email on my PR applications.... when they approve you for sponsorship do they send that email to the sponsor (my husband)? or to both of us?

I know! it there is no rhyme or reason to it. All I can say is that having worked in a Gov't office many years ago (not CIC lol), when they add additional staff to work on things, they don't take the backlog from other workers...the new staff just start taking new work. (Also, some workers are MUCH faster and more productive than others.) It just seems totally random.. whatever stack of paperwork you land in. I'm very happy for me, but I have to agree.. it doesn't seem to make any sense.

But does seem they are moving much faster.. sending prayers and positive thoughts for all Nov applicants for quick approvals!
