I am sorry! I deleted you from our spreadsheet because under your name it shows you applied in 2008, and that you already got the visa and have landed in 29 april 2013.
But no worries! I'm adding you now.

Cheers!

thanks, Brazilian Girl....don't worry about the deletion incident, it was my mistake :). The previous info was for sponsoring my mom.
Goodluck to all! The light at the end of the tunnel is getting so much clearer now. God bless!

Sounds like it should be in your mailbox soon! I've added you to the Ottawa spreadsheet, but don't have your application approved date - I'll be happy to add that if you post or send it to me.

Alright, it's done. And I guess so it's your visa!
When was the Sponsorship Approval, may I ask?

Good evening family,

Today I got a call from the immigration lawyer they received a letter stating that I need to pay the rprf fee which I did about a week or 2 ago and that our file is near the end is this true? How far after do they usually request the passport ?

So I am new to this site. Mainly getting on here to see if anyone has news about November sponsorships submitted. My husband is Canadian and I am from the US. We applied for the family sponsorship to get PR. My application was received on November 26th, 2012 and that status has not changed from "Application Received". I did all my medicals and sent all the other forms all at once to help speed along the process. But, as you all know, the times haven't moved from October 8th for months. I have tried calling in but can't get anything other than to keep waiting. Anyone have any good news about their applications?

Hello everyone....just checking in.

So I paid the landing fee for hubby and sent it to cppOttawa. They had also requested the FBI clearance which I will not be getting back before July 7th which was the deadline cppOttawa gave me to submit everything.

What I did was send them the receipt for paying the landing fee online as well as RCMP background check even tho they didn't ask for it but my spouse was in Canada in the past for more than six months as well as the receipt proving I did the FBI clearance for the states. Also I wrote a letter explaining that I won't receive the results before the deadline.

I hope all goes well cause I really miss hubby :-(

Congrats to everyone that's getting ppr already I hope they keep up the speed and give everyone their bloody pr already lol...

I believe they'll understand it. I've read from other people that they are ok with some police clearance delay. So much that the normal RCMP background check usually takes about 18 weeks to get a result back. =/ Just to let you know, there's a way of cutting that time to about 72 hours, by doing it digitally.

May I ask when they've requested the RPRF and the FBI clearance?

And I agree with you. I also really miss my man!! I hope they keep bringing good news!

They requested it in May I think the 15th. And they gave us a deadline for sending all the requested documents by July 7th. The RCMP one I got back and sent it off with the payment.

My husband just called and said he spoke with someone in the department that is dealing with the FBI clearance and they told him that they will be mailing out his result no later than Monday :-) ..... I hope I get it by next Friday so I can send it to immigration ASAP ?

Can anyone estimate how much longer before he's landed?

I believe (and hope) that now, things will be fast!

Good luck! =]
