Im a financial underwriter and the job discription of a financial underwriter by CIC on the website is : Financial underwriters underwrite new issues of stocks and bonds, negotiate with corporations and governments to determine the type and terms of new securities issued and prepare offering prospectuses.
Could some seniors help me to judge whether the job discriptions listed in my reference letter match the NOC 1114, as the job discriptions on the website is too simple. Thanks a lot!!
his detailed duties include:
Performing due diligence activities to analyze the client's financial and operating performance to prepare for issuing securities and conducting some of the following assessments：
1. Interviewing key executives to assess the client's management strength
2. Reviewing the client's financial statements in depth, challenge accounting policies, and consider financial projections
3. Evaluating the client's products in relation to the industry
4. Contacting the client's suppliers and customers
5. Assessing the client's market share, technological advantages or disadvantages, and market growth potential
Gathering business, financial, and other information to prepare preliminary offering prospectus, modifying prospectus to satisfy the regulator and verifying the authenticity, correctness and completeness of documents to file the final prospectus,
Conducting investigations and discussing with management team to determine:
1. the type of securities to be issued
2. the number of securities to be issued
3. the price at which they will be issued
4. where the securities will be traded
5. marketing plans
Negotiating with the stock exchange to apply for a listing, assisting the client to complete the appropriate listing application and provide any additional information as required by the exchange, such as information to support the future viability of the company,
Summarizing certain key information extracted from the prospectus, together with other information such as data on comparable stocks to prepare marketing materials and developing road show which covers the client's vision and strategy, financial results and performance to market securities to analysts, fund managers and potential investors,
Maintaining a strong network of contacts in the banking, private equity and emerging growth corporate communities.
