Forum friends

By the grace of God, today (Friday Oct 31, 2014) I got back my Passport with Visa and COPR!! My app was filed May 21, 2014 so it is now exactly 5 months and 10 days since my app was received and one month since processing began. I am so excited, it's almost impossible to contain it.

I would like to thank everyone here on this forum for the support and valuable information imparted, especially in the initial months when not much was known or very clear. I can never repay you guys, but I will always help as many as I can, like the ones who helped me.

On my ECAS, it is still showing "In Process" with 3rd line :o, still no Decision Made, but I foresee ECAS will finally catch up on Saturday.

Wish everybody a successful visa journey.

All the best & Meet you in Canada! :D

Friends,

Can we apply 3 years of article-ship experience for points? Have a letter from Institute of Chartered Accounts INDIA, will get reference letter too from company i worked for but no Payslips and offer letter.

Yes you can...Take a letter from ICAI, attach ICAI Articleship requirements from the copy of prospectus and relevant segment from the website prints, there are few written papers availale in the form of forms for articlesship requirements, your form for articleship signed by your CA ...I mean attache as many documents as possible and they should 99% consider it...

Do send a cover letter , details of your file and a photo copy set of the main application form for cross verification as it would help them relate to the bunch you sent accross and avoid getthing this form missed from the lot. do keep a courier tracking receipt and do mention old package delivery dates to them for easy identification of the pack.

Please help help help!!

I have sent old version of schedule 3 form, payment form and Checklist with application on 7th Oct.

I am worried, as most of people says that this is one of the reasons for rejection of application.

I have checked my consultant who advised to send these forms again which i did today.

What else i need to do to avoid rejection.

Please help

Hey Guys,

I am not sure whether this topic has been dealt before here. However, i still require suggestions on this:

I have total 6 years experience post qualification. Out of which 3 years were mandatory training/articleship required for attaining the status of member from ACCA.

My concern is while calculating points how much shall i consider:

3 years which is post mombership ie after completing mandatory training, or

6 years which is in total.

Further, to my above query this is really effecting my application now as i am unable to provide documents for my uncle as proof of residence who is a citizen but not residing there.

Regards,

FRG

Hi question about settlement funds ... (re-applying for the 2nd time, no news yet for the 1st application)

I'm planning to re-submit this week I have a company loan and bank loan deductible to my payroll every payday. So it is reflected in my payslip. I know It's better to get a certification from the bank or our company, no question about that.

But just the same, can I not declare the salary or personal loans? The amortization is reflected my payslip as deduction. I was planning to submit an Income Tax Return as one of the proofs of really being an employee of our company and also to support my work reference letter. Although my salary in the work reference letter is different from the tax returns due to salary increase. please advise. I really want to submit this week since it's already November. NOC 1111

Yes, the NOC description (for 1111) notes that articling students in accounting firms are included. Therefore the experience gained during that period will count towards your total experience. See also Paddy78's response to a similar question above.

As it relates to showing supporting documents for your uncle, note that it is required that the relative you want to claim points from is a resident of Canada and this is why supporting evidence to that effect is needed. Do you NEED this to get to the 67 pass mark? If you can get to 67 without it, I would forget about this.

I think you should declare it. Remember that purposely withholding information can be considered material misrepresentation and PR status even after granted can be revoked with a ban placed on you for 2 years.

congrats obryan20!!!

Hi all, I am eagerly waiting my visa right now after ppr.
However, it seemed to take longer than I expect.
I am May 22nd applicant,
cc encashed on Sept. 3rd,
PER on Sept. 9th,
MR and landing fees send on Oct. 1st,
and PPR and sent on Oct. 15th.

Any clues or experiences, from yours that may suggest me how long to wait?

Thank you in advance!
