No one knows until what date is the cap status updated but it reflects the number of "complete" application packages that CIC has received until June 30, 2014.

Hello Paddy,

bro i need your and others urgent guidance on my case:

I am working in one of the bank in risk management department. My major responsibilities include operational risk activities in risk management department. While going through the Canada's occupations category, i couldn't be able to find any category directly related to my profile. I found one occuption financial examiners under other financial officers category, which somehow relate to my job skill. But in that occupation,it is written that some accounting degree may be required and iam a finance graduate so thinking that whether i shld proceed with it or not?

In the light of above case, needs prompt guidance from all the seniors especially from those who belong to risk management field and have applied their case.

looking forward for your kind replies on it

Which NOC did you see that applied to you the most. Also if you provide us with a JD we would be better able to help you.

As you say, the NOC 1114 might be a fit, but the degree qualification stated there is Bus Admin, which to my knowledge, a finance degree falls under. So if its the finance degree you are worried about, i think you are fine.
However i am not sure how the JD part goes, maybe someone else can help, but my JD matched up close to 80% of what was described as it was a more specific NOC than yours. Therefore i do not want to lead you down the wrong path where your JD is concerned. But your qualifications are fine to me.

Hi Stone,
You are fine in respect of your qualification.
Just ensure that JD bullet points highlighted on CIC NOC website must match 80 to 90 pct with your current JD. You see, here comes the task for you as well for VO to find mismatch in your JDs. You have to think each of the point mentioned below and then rephrase it in the light of points written in CIC NOCs.
For people like you, who are working on OR positions or any kind of risk related jobs, they are performing all tasks as per CIC NOC but could not modify their actual JDs. Try to use the terms used in CIC NOC and then rewrite your JD.

Thanks for reply outstanding guy and Godafada. Actually i do have finance qualification as i am MBA with majors in finance, however i was worried about the occupation category. As per your advice bros, i am once again going through the job description of 1114 and thinking that they do somehow match in general but needs to make my resume specifically to JDs required to give it a meaningful picture.

one more thing i wanna ask that on my degrees, it is not mentioned that i have finance majors but when someone goes through the transcipts, he/she may find listing of finance courses along with the regular ones. So would it be upto their requirement or i need to take any certificate from my university mentioning that i have been specialized in finance during m MBA studies.

Just a thought, how would you prove that it is of finance major? by courses? however your transcript also does not show what major you had, except courses you opted.
Anyhow ECA would probably give equivalent status to your degree same as MBA in Canada, so in my view no need to worry.
With regards to stating the major in generic form under education details, you can write finance.

by the way can I ask your university name?
