Hope this will not have any effect on our Applications. Or is this the reason why applicant form this part of the world (AFICA) is no getting the required Speed?

CoolK, I don't think that is the reason. After all, even before the outbreak of Ebola in West Africa, AVO wasn't particularly known for its speed of processing applications! The only change I foresee is our medicals. They might just add the testing of the virus to the panel of parameters to be tested for. (i.e if it is not part of the medicals already). I don't know the details of the medicals, but I know that X-ray and liver function tests are part of it.

Dont know if they are overwhelmed by the number of applicants. The whole stuff was supposed to be rounded up in 12 months.
Hopefully it will start to rain and that heavily.

You may just have hit the nail on the head. All things considered though, most with PER of up to a year can expect to receive MR any time from now. My guess is that issuance of visas for 2013 applications will most likely be concluded next year, (God willing), because AVO seems to be overwhelmed by the sheer volume of applications to be processed. This is just my gut feeling.

Amennnnnn. Amen and Amen.

Let them just send MRs and PPRs then our excitement would grow and our hopes rekindled. This silence is simply deafening

I quite agree with you.We might start getting information about MR before the year runs out and for some it might be next year/everybody next year.I equally think that issuance of visa will be from next year.Note that since our files have not been opened(may be they have started now),they still have to conduct background checks which will take months. We also know that the time is affected by individual files.Since they have not started this,i wonder then when we can start getting MRs and visas.

Just the fact that that a year has lapsed since PER means that when the MR eventually comes, along will come request for updated police report and, other requests, such as RPRF.

WHY NEXT YEAR? THE THING MIGHT BE JUST NEXT WEEK. OUR PRAYERS SHOULD BE SOONER AND NOT LATER. AND SO SHALL IT BE.
