Congratulations Abeke, may GOD give us all the knowledge and understanding of all what AVO wants from us.Abeke said:Good Morning my people.
I give God all the glory for receiving my MR this morning.
Please I am also asked to provide additional documents below;
- Updated proof of funds (a letter from the bank with your balance indicated is not sufficient)
- Payslips and tax clearance form
1. Please note I submitted a bank letter with over 3m naira for family of 3 last year. my family composition has not changed so I wonder why they said I have insufficient balance.
2. What is tax clearance form. I need your opinion on what this is and how to go about it.

Thanks guys.. Please I need answers/opinions on how to handle the required documents. Are they saying I should provide statements of accounts? it seems they are saying bank letter isn't sufficient? Also I need help on the tax clearance form thingkollins said:
1.Since you submitted a bank letter...its almost sure they will ask you for an update in POF.They did not mean that you did not have insufficient balance...they want you to present a well documented statement of in your name/spouse to shouw your family saize POF.Abeke said:Thanks guys.. Thanks Kollins.. So I should send bank statement for 6months? And is the Tax clearance form the same thing with Tax clearance certificate?kollins said:1.Since you submitted a bank letter...its almost sure they will ask you for an update in POF.They did not mean that you did not have insufficient balance...they want you to present a well documented statement of in your name/spouse to shouw your family saize POF.
2.I'm sure this is related to the bank letter you submitted as they need to be sure your tax payment is okay.Your company should be in better position for the tax clearance form/certificate.Better still,FIRS can help out.You just need an official documented list of your tax in recent year.
Seems to me also that you did not include your pay slips as a supporting document to your letter of reference...that is why they are asking for it now.I'm sure your Payslip will also document your Tax on monthly basis.
Cheers.
Since they did not specify the number of months....standard practice is 6 months till date....let the closing amount be equal to your family size POF...higher like 10%.Abeke said:Thanks Kollins.. Congrats! In Nigeria taxes are collected at source. That is employers deduct ur tax and and pay directly to the government and it is reflected on ur payslip. So they should be able to see ur tax deductions as u submit ur payslip. If u want to be doubly sure just stroll into any tax office and they will explain more.Abeke said:Good Morning my people.

Tax clearance certificate is more of a company than an individual.Tax clearance form is for individuals so I believe that is what you should provide.Approach your company and ask for it...they should have more information for you.

Do they ask you to submit PCC or update any forms?
RPRF?
Cheers.

Exactly...I'm sure it will be stated on the payslip issued by the company.Gandalf said:Congrats! In Nigeria taxes are collected at source. I did not attach payslips to my initial applicationmegeremore said:@ Abeke,
1. I want to believe they want to see your bank statement of like 6 months - 12 months and not a letter from the bank stating only your balance. To be on the safe side, get a 1 year statement for them.
2. Did you attach your payslips when you sent in your application to CIC? if no, maybe that's why they're asking. As for tax, I'm confused about that. Maybe other people can help. I think your payslip should show your tax deducted from source.
