No, just went to the copies we made before sending, its just a little less than the new amount.

Guess that's the main reason it was requested.
Seems to me you sent the exact amount requested when you submitted your application package with reference to your family size POF ........When it was updated in April this year,the new POF size for your family size increased more than what you submitted and they needed to be sure....that's why it was requested......my personal opinion.

30 days for POF updates....what of MR and RPRF request?

It will get interesting if a POF update request is issued to someone whose POF from last year is still above the current POF requirement.

Our seniors MR recipient's, please did anyone of you send POF as a Bank Certificate letter, showing Bank balance?

If any MR recipient sent POF this way (not detailed Bank Statement) , then I believe the only reason AVO will request for updated POF will be if an applicants POF is now less than the updated requirement?

Anybody sent Bank Certificate letter and got MR?

nanonye, I agree with you. It will be out of place if the POF submitted by an applicant in b4 the change is higher or equal to the new changes and still called upon to show updated POF.

hello house, please help a friend. He is not on the forum. He got MR request yesterday plus the mail below




I am now completing the assessment of your application for a permanent resident visa. It appears that you may not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada in the skilled working category.

I have determined that you may be ineligible to Canada as a foreign national by virtue of the fact that you do not meet the Financials requirements necessary for a family of 4 (CAD$$21,971) as outlined in section R76(1)(b) of the Immigration Refugee Protection Act and the Regulations:

The skilled worker must

(i) have in the form of transferable and available funds, unencumbered by debts or other obligations, an amount equal to one half of the minimum necessary income applicable in respect of the group of persons consisting of the skilled worker and their family members, or

(ii) be awarded points under paragraph 82(2)(a), (b) or (d) for arranged employment, as defined in subsection 82(1), in Canada.



Before I make a final decision, you may submit additional information relating to this issue. You must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you get to Canada. You cannot borrow this money from another person. You must be able to use this money to pay the costs of living for your family (even if they are not coming with you). Valuations of current property are not acceptable as proof of available funds.

Congratulation! This POF Nawaa oh. I don't have the complete amount in cash but if I sale my car and my land it will be more than. What documents can I use to show the source of fund if I sell the properties. I am really nervous.

He has not responded yet. He is trying to get the support documents for the additional funds. Will let you know when he does reply

I really dnt know but I feel if you make copies of the papers before selling and also that of change of ownership and let the buyers name reflect in your account that might do or on the otherhand ask in the snrs forum, you might get someone with firsthand experience to share how they went about it.

@ kollins @ nanonye...........Please dnt mind my unceremonious way of announcing the MR, it came this mrng with the mail my batt has been flat so I just read it this afternoon, and I think I was asked for the POF update cos my spouse sent bulk money into the account.


My question now is can we send a different statement from what we send earlier I.e from another bank but it has enough to cover the required amount with no need for transfer?

Hi Floxzy, please have you gone for your MEDICALS as requested. Also would like to find out the process, are we required to book an appointment with the hospital first or its just walk-in. how about the cost involved? Pardon me for the plenty questions, just trying to stay informed, Thanks...
