people,we gotta realise something, there is a rule we must all follow, which is to be excellent, asyou already know, excellence is a nature of God,like Oprah Winfrey said 'nobody discriminates against excellence', the other rule is you don't have to serve the country of birth after attaining excellecne with all your might and soul, for me if you call me,the name Nigeria is kept in the minds of people on the strength of what i do,so somehow i'm still serving Nigeria.

2013? haba please dont go there. All visa office have slowed down i wonder why. When i was about submitting in March, people were getting Visa daily from the New Delhi office some withing 6 months and others within 9 months but recently people who submitted full documents in April are yet to receive medical request so its a general trend.

Some say its because of student application for September intake while others say CIC has asked them to slow down. Whatever the case i am positive it will pick up again. So you will get your visa in 2011 by the grace of God

Jackson, MOT,

I will advise you buy the 4K pack with CD, that is all I used too, downloaded different materials which I can send to you if you want (but I never opened them, never had the time)

The pack is all you need.

Listening needs some practice, reading is typical comprehension, writing is more or less argumentative essays and letter writing, for speaking I dont know what to say (cos I didn't practice myself), just be composed 'no be this english we dey speak everyday'

I was asked to talk about my best toy when I was growing up,couldn't remember any, I had to come up with the story of a Car made from Sugar box coupled with empty milk tins, you just have to be creative anyway.

all the best

Hi all,

I was reading a thread just now and got confused. Its about the points awarded on educational qualification. How many points do you guys believe will be awarded an HND holder. Pls clarify. thks a ton.

Two year post-secondary educational credential, other than a university
educational credential, and at least 14 years of completed full-time or full-time
equivalent studies is awarded 20 points.

Three year post-secondary educational credential, other than a university
educational credential, and at least 15 years of completed full-time or full-time
equivalent studies is awarded 22 points.

thks iii.

the confusion stemmed from the fact that HND is a four year programme excluding the one year mandatory IT and 15 years study period altogether. But a two or more years BSC + 14 years study period is 20 points. Doing the maths, I would think a BSC holder shd get 22 points given the 15 years study period. So I wasnt sure if they'll accept HND as a three/ four years programme. Catch my drift?

mot,

As far as 9ija is concerned, HND/B.Sc is 4 years and MSc is 1year by Ministry of Education standard.

In Norway, MSc is 2 years regardless of the course (e.g MSc Economics)....

So mot, you are free to settled for 22 points.

Although, part time HND in 9ija is 3yrs of study but CHC willcount it as 2yrs full time study for you. Also Unilag COSIT/DLI is 5yrs but CHC counts 4yrs.

I did MBA executive 2 yrs programme but I have adjusted it to 1 yr equivalent full time.

Mind you if you had secured your BSC through Direct Entry (DE) you would have gotten a prequisite study before joining the uni at enhanced level say 200level.. Then you must have had A/Levels or OND which when counted with your 3 year BSC would have given about 15Yrs of study.

I hope my explanation sinks...but Please feel free to ask any question if in doubt.

Best of Luck mot,
Best of Luck 9ija pple in da hse!

Forever 9ija..............
