YOUR IMMIGRANT VISA(S) APPEAR READY TO BE ISSUED, IF THERE HAS BEEN NO CHANGE IN YOUR FAMILY CONFIGURATION. IF THERE HAVE BEEN ANY CHANGES, PLEASE CONTACT OUR OFFICE BEFORE PROCEEDING.
You are requested to submit your passport(s) and documentation BY COURIER within 60 days to the Canadian High Commission so that we may issue your visa(s) and return your documentation to you. The visa will be valid for 6 months or until the expiry of your medical results xx-xx-2013, whichever is earliest. You may also appear IN PERSON within 60 days at the Canadian High Commission in Accra any Monday, at 8:00 am, for visa collection. The visa will be issued the same day. You must bring this letter with you.
Abeg wetin this one mean na... does it mean I have crossed the finish line? someone should decode for me oh

Hi Vikolo,

Your visa validity is very strange...you had your medicals in May 2012 which should give you till May 2013 except your passport expiry is shorter. Congrats all the same.

Proceed to Accra without wasting too much time sha.

I can confirm one other person who PPR last week had the same passport validity. It is a standard requirement......Don;t think it matters as one foot is already at the door

The e-passport (as of today) can only be renewed in Abuja immigration HQ

They made it 6 months because they want me to leave naija sharp sharp and start paying tax there. Anyway, I guess it is because my passport will expire before May 2013

Has anyone renewed the e-passport in Naija before?

You just got the pass to the red ugwu land. Congratulations. Please up your plans. I will advice you land before winter. If you want to keep it further go get the visa near the expiration of your PPR date. that can buy additional one month if it will really matter.

I can confirm that Lagos office has started renewing and reissuing e-passport. Just did mine last Thursday.

Your passport is still valid till May 2013. So go get your visa. if it expires then renew it in Canada GBAM! otherwise get a new passport if it is possible to be issued new one before expiration of the present one.

Mine is also expiring before May 2013 but I had the full validity. The reasons for the Visa Validity are best known to them.
