Seems I missed the issue you wanted me to respond to, but if it is as per POF, I submitted Bank certificate on two different accounts with the particular bank. My understanding is that if VO needs additional proof they will request. I feel more important issue if one's ability to be able to present/show the amount required based on family size - or much more - at the time of additional proof (document) request.

Like thejackson said, "Let us not faint" but keep hope alive ........ this time next year it shall turn out to be testimonies.

What ever you submitt just pray that you meet the favour of God. BUT mind you, let everything be ok and give no reason for the VO to doubt anything. This people have a lot to contend with in terms of volume of applications and any little mistake may make their job faster by rejecting.

The VO can ask for POF second time in some cases but in my case, she did not. I provided in my full pack to Accra my statement of account, my wife's statement of account, our joint statement of account (All these have more than the total amount of money req.) I also provided my share certificates-though they do not mean much. Before my interview day i have withdrawn 1m naira for a project but luckyly POF was not asked for during the interview and we scaled through. But in another person situation, it may be the stumbling block not even now that Accra is irrational and full of unattended to applications.

May the good Lord give us favour.

The watch word is ''BEEN CAREFUL''.The POF is not something debatable,there is a guide for applicant and i think the best we can do for ourselves is to adhere and cover our backside at all times.Do not give the VO any room for doubts,Darkside story l think should have have taught us one lesson or the other(With due respect to Darkside for making reference to his story)you can not underestimate this people.LET US PRAY FOR GOD'S DIRECTION AND GUIDANCE.

I eventually by his grace submitted the update docs and it has been received by CIC.Looking forward to the medical request in earnest.

I would like to say the issue of POF should be taken seriously in that it requires everyone to make great sacrifaces even in these turbulent times - there is always a need for money. Once I submitted both my account details, I practically took my eyes off both accounts. My transactions going forward took place within my other accounts. I do appreaciate that this might be difficult for us all however I would advise we at least resist touching the monies once it is at par with the minimum required transferable funds for the size of our families as specified by CIC. I say this with due respect to my fellow contree people because I want to see you all on the otherside!

Some poor fellow in another thread was actually rejected because of insufficient fund. The road isn't easy but God shall make a way for us all IJN.

Thanks pyramid777. Glad to hear that I can get them to do this for me. Do I have to use the form from Alagbon or can I use the one the police in my country of residence use? I am just wondering since I am still going to get the PCC for my period of residence here anyway. if I could save time/money by just getting a spare finger print done at the same time and send it to my family back home.

You can use any finger print form. I sent an FBI fingerprint form from the US to my relative to take to Alagbon earlier in the year, and it was accepted

Now that I want to send my full documents to Accra she said, she could not send copies of her PR and other stuff to me in 9ija by post or email for security reasons. She sent me a mail to tell me this.

Although without her 5 points I already heve 71 points give or take. What should I do?

I was thinking of these two options hence require your advise and inputs:

1. Should I forget about her and tell the visa officer that I don't want to claim the points anymore.

2. Should I send my documents with explanation and the mail conversation she sent to me?

Pleawse I need urgent advise.

My candid advice is that you should not alter what u have already claimed. Writing a covering letter about the mail conversation with ur aunt may be unconvincing. Since ur aunty has expressed her reservations about mail or email, then suggest to her to use courier (with the cost borne by u) which is more secure; after all even passports with PR visas are sent regularly via courier without qualms.

If she's keen on following through, she will certainly oblige. I hope this helps. Others may add their voices.

Thanks. I have decided to forget it. I will include it in my letter that she refused to give me. Just like some other seniors have advised in a reletive replies here.

1 If your close relative is a permanent resident of Canada: photocopy of his or her Record of Landing (IMM 1000), Confirmation of Permanent Residence or Permanent Resident Card.
2 If your close relative is a Canadian citizen: proof of Canadian citizenship, such as a photocopy of pages of a Canadian passport or Canadian citizenship card.

Given the above emboldened words. Let her send any of these. I have the same issue with my Aunty who believes there are security concern over sending the bio page of her passport. But I ask her to send the certificate of citizenship only. Which she agreed to do.
However, I need to say this. Don't just put it aside. There is always a political solution to most problem in life. Educate, persuade, convince her to give you what you asked for. Its not a time to call someones bluff, but a time to supply all the documents you need to. Immigration matter are usually long endurance trek if you permit me to use that word.
