No qualms. Your meds request is coming in the 3rd week of January,2011. According to OP 15 ( Please can you let me in on this), if strictly followed by accra, medical request must be issued 2 weeks after the end of 60days timeline. Anyway, in my own case, they follow the rule and i got med. request 2 weeks after the end of 60 days to submit my update.

How you get info of waived interview is it communicated?

You can get a call/email/letter for interview only if there are any discrepancies/doubt with your documents or information you provided on your application. There is an operational bulletin that guild the processing of the applications. Before CHC can refused an application after update and having necessary pass mark, CHC must undergo a procedural fairness, to invite the applicant(s) for interview to explain him/herself where CHC have noted a "comma". Instead of refusing bluntly, they will invite the applicant, a positive selection decission by VO rest solely on the applicant(s) during the interview, to convince the VO on the information or documents that needed to be clarified.

If all information, documents and having necessary pass mark seem ok for VO, then there will be an instant selection decission where at this time an interview is waived. Applicants will only know if interview is waived when he/she receives a medical request.

Should you check OP6 AND OP15 the rule says ," If VO received updated documents within the stipulated timeframe and if there are no additional documents needed from the applicants, VO has atleast 2 weeks after the stipulate timeframe to issue medical request

Thank you for the piece. But i will never persuade or beg. If it is the will of God let it be. I have tried my best. Am not talking of a friend here but a family. But if she thinks she is in a position to do so, so be it. I already have 71 points without considering her 5 points and with all humility I am going to Canada to start my business (with at least CAD$60,000.00 already in my savings as we write) which has been burning in my heart eversince...just that 9ija is not giving me the encouragement.

I had a baby in the United States and a FRIEND accommodated my wife for 4 months! Then what are we talking about. Am removing that area, if VO feels am not qualified based on that so be it and if granted that means God wanted me there. Ce fini.

Every body here is afraid to give their doc to pple in Naija it happened to me too. I was told at the last hour that it will be sent to Accra even after showing him that their instruction says all docs must come in one pack.

But at the end of the day I scaled through without it and that same person did more than expected for me and my family when we landed. In fact up till now he is still impacting our lives seriously positively. Pls do not spoil the relationship by feeling angry don’t worry, you will benefit from the person when you land but getting their papers easily to use for immigration can be hell. (On a lighter mood)—Who knows maybe you will do same after landing. Nigerians here, either relative or just known on the way are always willing to help but rarely with their docs

I need to know when you applied, when you submit your documents and when additional documents were requested and submitte, before i can give any correlative forcast of your timeline with the CIC timeframe

1 If your close relative is a permanent resident of Canada: photocopy of his or her Record of Landing (IMM 1000), Confirmation of Permanent Residence or Permanent Resident Card.
2 If your close relative is a Canadian citizen: proof of Canadian citizenship, such as a photocopy of pages of a Canadian passport or Canadian citizenship card.

Given the above emboldened words. Let her send any of these. I have the same issue with my Aunty who believes there are security concern over sending the bio page of her passport. But I ask her to send the certificate of citizenship only. Which she agreed to do.
However, I need to say this. Don't just put it aside. There is always a political solution to most problem in life. Educate, persuade, convince her to give you what you asked for. Its not a time to call someones bluff, but a time to supply all the documents you need to. Immigration matter are usually long endurance trek if you permit me to use that word.

If you cannot convince her to give it to you, do not have any bad feelings towards her. As somebody said, your relationship with her is priceless. My friend was in the same situation in the past. His aunt will not help out when it matters most. He got thru without her documents. He is in Canada right now boasting of his second car and personal house. Be encouraged and explain to VO. I am very optimist that you will go thru. You are favoured!

All i did was take it along with my other documents to the Court for notarization and got it stamped without showing the original because i had all the originals of the others i was able to explain to the guy that my brother does not reside in Nigeria and that he scanned it to be. Very easy

Awoderu, You should have let your brother do the notarization by himself in canada and have it sent to you. it's only cost CAN$5.00. By getting his identity notarized in nigeria without sighting the original by the Notary may mean a lots to the VO and may be doubtful of any documents from Nigerian applicants.By law you are not suppossed to be in possession of someone original identity. Then, how do you get the notarization done without the original. Dont let us make life difficult for others by our actions, please. Documents issued or authenticated by Canadian government needs not to be notarized, as such documents can easily be confirmed by the its own authority. Photocopy only will do, what you do there was ''efiko'' or over syllabus which may leads to another scenario, May God forbid. But one thing is certain you may be called for an interview.
