Well congrats to all who are getting their hubby's at home this month. I am so sorry for not being in touch is like am new to this then I disappear lol,but I work from 4-1am so by the time I get home am like no one will probably be up on this forum. I appreciate the replies to my post thanks alot to all who replied and for the warm welcome. I got some news today from hubby dont know if it is good or bad ,but hubby got a letter dated march 22nd that he needs to submit his passport,birth certificate and marriage licence within 60 days of receipt of the the letter. I am a bit confused as I got the letter to pay the rprf in march,dated march 9th and paid the fees and submited the receipt and everytime I call cic missisauga to confirm if they received it they keep saying no no no they did not which means they have not notified kingston as yet that they recieved the payment so am confused as to why they requesting his docs and does that mean longer wait time for me lord help me this is getting depressing. I am actually seeing a fertility doctor and it is so pointless because he keeps asking when is your husband coming because they need to run test on him as well.I appreciate the respond from anyone thanks

mrslonelywifey : No need to apologize. You never know when you are going to catch one of us insomniacs at this time of night so post when you can... we won't feel no way if you don't respond right away.
I think that this is WONDERFUL news and nothing to feel any additional stress about but i have a couple questions for you.
1) Has your husband been checking his mail regularly? I'm surprised that the letter was postdated to March 22?
2.) When you paid the FEE did you notify Kingston through fax or email or just Mississauga?
3.) Does your husband have a cell phone? I'm also suprised that he was contacted by letter and not called.
In my opinion, I think you are at the end of this immigration nightmare. Your husband should take those documents in tomorrow (between 1:30-3:30 i think). If he has a copy of the receipt of the PRF, I would suggest he took that too.. just in case... but i'm certain that they have the fee and the next time he will be contacted will be to pick up his passport and come home to make babies!!!!

Lol thanks for replying, yes he checks regularly and he said the letter said dated march 22nd also i got the letter to pay the rprf around the 15th or so but it was dated march 9th i sent it out to missisauga around the 21 to the 24th if memory serves me correct,and was told they will notify kingston but up to now they cant even confirm with me they got the fees and yes he does have a cell and checks his message frequently to. It is so amazing you said that because I was just telling him am gonna fax him my copy of receipt so he can take with him to prove to them the fees was paid. I am guessing he will be home soon,do you have any idea after he drops off his docs how long after they will call him to pick up his visa and am now in the planning process to move to alberta.

mrslonelywifey: To be on the safe side, it's best he takes the proof of payment but I really don't think they would send a letter for passport drop off if they weren't already aware that payment had been made. The last few passport drop offs have been told 2 weeks!!
Are you in Ontario now? Which part of Alberta? That is a big move! I did the opposite 2 years ago moving from Calgary. Do you have family there?

no no family there I love ontario but damn it is fustrating so am moving to alberta. I am talking to hubby he is asking if he is to drop off the stuff in the mail box or he needs to see someone in person.

Hubby is here in the flesh, up and running like a hubby should, he received his welcome package, everything was normal, they asked no question, he came thry with everything bcaz only 1 luggage allowance. they took all the cheese patties that my kids so long wait for.

at the moment am gonna go on the street he needs to meet a few ppl and and we need to throw one in before the kids come home from school, lol

Question...would it be worth me tracking down the biological mother, getting her to sign a thing saying we have custody and permission, and sending it in to Missassauga or faxing it in??? Since they just will have recieved my package and probably not starting processing it? Or should I just leave it and wait if they ask. Trying to avoid delays.

I only sent in emails from the biological mother stating she was for this decision and they were free to contact her and declaring us financially responsible for the child since birth.

Smoothie- I would get something Formal from her stating all of those things. I don't think CIC or Kingston have time to contact people in regards to applications.

If you could get something I would have it available.

Does anyone thing I should be faxing this in so they have it from the start though? I can get the letter any time....it was never NOT available. It was just that I was informed by several sources that I didn't need it till I was leaving the country.

I don't know if this is the same.. but when I bring my son back into canada I have to travel with his birth certificate. I travel with it because it shows no father on it LOL.

My sons father is involved in his life, but because he's not listed on the BC I don't get questioned by immigration about having a letter from his father for taking him in and out of the country.

I would have an official letter from the mother or your husband must have a documentation of a custody agreement. This is my experience with traveling with my son.

Could be different in your situation.
