I just looked down at my tracker and it says 7 months 2 weeks... Im back to being stressed. ???

SmoothiesQueen : I think i'd use the rule of thumb if there is something you think you might need... and it is something you can get, then i'd get it.
When I travel with my son (who has a different last name than I do) I have sometimes been questioned or delayed at the border and sometimes go right through. It has been suggested that I have a letter from my son's father indicating that he has his permission to be out of the country. We share joint custody so I travel with our legal documents so they know that I am not stealing him from his father. With your daughter not only travelling, but moving out of the country, I would make sure you had legal documents stating the custody agreement.
I'm not sure i'd feel comfortable faxing random paperwork to CIC until I had a client number which they could match it to but that is up to you.

Sanchester: girl dont worry about it, moreover i think you should start counting fom when kgn got the files instead of when you actually submited the file. Afterall that is when the count truly starts, so look at it this way, you've basically started this process 6 month and 2 weeks now, and with God in control we will get through by the lates June.

Smoothiequeen-you are truley amazing and ten steps ahead because you have the support of your daughter's "biological" mother. I do hope that things go smooth for you! You already are an apporoved sponsor so I'm thinking if they require a notorozed letter they will ask for this when they do a doc request. Having this prepared is a god idea and agree with the others to maybe have this done in adavnce and submit can"t hurt!

I sent off my request for CAIP notes. I'll keep you all posted! Thanks everyone for your words of encouragement! I've decided to hold off on calling MP until I recieve my notes. That way they'll need to dig a little deeper by contacting KG directly. I don't really need them reading me caip notes i want "real" updates and want them to contact KG directly.

Just returned from church, feeling blessed and highly favoured and am gonna try to hang on to that feeling for as long as I can. I know everyday spent away from the one you love is hard but holidays seem to be the hardest so hang in there fam and enjoy this blessed weekend!

ebonyshine: I think sending off for your CAIPS notes is a really good idea, although I believe you will hear from KNG next week and not even need them. We are all pulling for you girl!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter Weekend. Im busy packing, and doing laundry for my trip next week. I super excited. Did some last minute shopping for hubby and a few things for mom inlaw, and a new baby that just arrived. Im praying that we hear something from KNG next week! Hang in there family!! i know weeekends are tough for all of us, and makes it harder when they last 4 days! Hope you all find a way to occupy your time, and enjoy the sunshine!

Lilmaya.,...he paid the return courier fee...I did track the package and the received the day after the called, on April 14th @ 10:45am. So I am thinking that once they send it off they will hopefully updated ECAS and I will then get a email notification and I can tell hubby to look our for a call from the courier office saying that the package is there to be picked up....Girl I am feeling so nervous and praying that they do a fairly quick return!!!!

As far as the party thing in hubby's area....I get very disappointed when something is going on and I cant be there!!! Like he called last night and he was at a beach party in Ochi and i could here all the nice music in the background....and where was I...in my bed!!!! UGGGHHHH but I know that Jamaicans party and celebrate everything....they may not have money and have alot of social issues but one thing about that island they always find a way to relax and enjoy themselves...Hats off to them. Dont worry though you and hubby will be having your own celebration/party very very soon.

ladyposh: I really love the courier process. Especially if you aren't right in Kingston. The time and stress and taxi fare and ray ray that it saves just to get it there and get it back! And now we know they get it one day... you should get it back in one day. I think your husband will have it by mid week!! Would you have the flight booked for next week or would he have stuff to wrap up??
I am so disappointed to not be there with him tonight. It just breaks my heart. I stayed busy and tried not to think about it but like now we're in for the night i'm sooooo sad again. I can't wait til it's over and i just know he's at home safe and sound!

Irving : That sounds great. I'm still very interested in giving it a try and I want to look for it next time i make it to the border!
