Of course, the other change is that all spousal inland applications now go to CPC-M and not CPC-V.
No idea if that will make it faster or slower....

Exactly! I had a nice, rather lengthy `volleyball-esque' discussion with someone at the CIC Call Centre about this very language.QuebecOkie said:The language seems wishy-washy coming from CIC.
Is the sponsor "eligible" by being a person who will/could be found to be eligible according to CIC standards, or is the sponsor "eligible" after he/she is approved as a sponsor?
Sorry, but I thought it was relative to your discussion, regarding when is a sponsor `eligible'.QuebecOkie said:Okay, Pongo, I can't help it...I literally LOL'd at that one! Hung up on by a CIC agent! That's a new one. I'm strangely proud of you.Doesn't help with the discussion, but helped with my humour about the inconsistencies tonight.
wah now I'm wishing I sent my app a month ago! Fingers crossed for nothing crazy to happen to the processing times. ???zardoz said:Of course, the other change is that all spousal inland applications now go to CPC-M and not CPC-V.

Switch to visitor status, find a job (normal LMO+WP) or leave Canada.hwanlj said:Okay guys, so I have a question..
This is my friend's situation,.
She's on Pgwp (until February this year), and she's getting married to a a Canadian guy in May ...
Knowing that she can't extend her Pgwp, what's her option here?
Somehow, I doubt it as the PR Application process itself does not even being until your sponsor has been approved which would mean you would have to receive AIP, which would be exactly where they said it was. You can no longer file the OWP in hopes to use the loophole to extend your WP with implied status pre AIP approval.tangent123 said:The process has been updated again on Jan 23, 2014. Inbound applicants can now apply for wp extension while PR application is in process and get an implied status. This was confirmed by 2 call agents. The only thing I am not sure is if the PR application process includes the pre-AIP stage.
