Quick question guys.
My IELTS is tomorrow morning. Honestly I don't feel prepared, and I'm a native English speaker o_O.
My test was supposed to be on May 23rd. On Friday, IELTS reps called me that they have to switch me because of overbooking. It was either May1st, 3rd or sometime in June. I was scared that June was too far and May 1st was literally the next day. So I opted for the 3rd (Tomorrow) I'm freaking out because I don't have enough time to prepare
What is the lowest score to be eligible to apply for the TR to PR program. I saw online it says:
  1. Have attained a level of proficiency of at least benchmark 5 in either official language for each of the four language skill areas, as set out in the Canadian Language Benchmarks or the Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens. This must be demonstrated by the results of an evaluation by an organization or institution designated by the Minister for the purpose of evaluating language proficiency under subsection 74(3) of the Regulations; and the evaluation must be less than two (2) years old when the permanent residence application is received;

Honestly, I don't feel like I'm getting a band 7 or 8 or 9. Maybe I'll feel less pressure and do better tomorrow. But if I get a Band 5 or 6, can I still apply?
I'm just preparing myself incase I don't get a good score in the test LOL

Please advise
Take the Familiarization test for free on British Council website. You’ll be fine!

I got an overall 8.5 without having taken the test before (took TOEFL for college) and without having even looked at the exam. I'm not even a native speaker. You'll be fine.

Also, just FYI you've won the lottery.
My friends that took CELPIP earlier this year all had to study for it . So I was freaking out because I didn’t have the chance to
I’m mostly worried for the speaking because I tend to talk fast when I’m nervous. Do you know the lowest score to be eligible?

You are a native speaker? C'mon man :) you'll nail it. I went to write ielts academics in 2017 before I came to study here in Canada without any preparation and english is not my native language. I couldnt really study because I was working a lot and just saving money for here. And I received enough to go to college to Canada. My speaking was 7,5 I remember I used the word LOQUACIOUS somewhere in the context haha. If you are a native speaker you really shouldnt worry, just dont be nervous. Benchmark 5 is really basic english without any fancy words, just very basic.
Thank you! English is literally the only language I know so it’s stupid that I’m so nervous and anxious for this test. I feel a bit better that the benchmark is 5.

Thank you one more thing. My employer stated starting wage as 17. But I got an increase and now earn 21 will that make any issues
I dont think so, as long as you are employed and scan or download some recent pay slips and maybe also T4 slip. It doesnt matter how much you earn or what type of job you have for international student graduate stream.

Hi, I was unemployed and recently landed a job and it starts tomorrow and my employer is ready to provide me any documents I need.
As my job is starting tomorrow there would be no pay slips and T4 in my case. Which letters do you recommend I should get from my employer and on what date as I read a member in this group is getting them dated May 6 which I think is a bit little too on point as the pathway opens on 6th and so how on the same day can we get it printed, signed and upload it too (thinking from the V.O. point of view)

I was thinking to get it dated on May 4 and make them mention that I am employed here, on this date my employment started and this is my salary. Do you think its good enough, and if not kindly please suggest what should I get done.

Thanks
You may wait for another week then you will have paystubs

But then I might miss the May 6th bus especially after seeing many applicants ready to barge in on the portal on May 6. What do you think? Me being employed since May 3 fulfills the criteria of their policy stating to be employed at the time of applying, now what is left is to satisfy the V.O. regarding the same. So what documents do you recommend and what point should in include in them.

Thanks
Many companies pay bi-weekly. I dont think you should wait. Ircc has not told detail about this part.

Hi Frisk.
I have been working since August last year in NOC B, but this pathway only asks for being employed, is this Ok if my reference letter mentions all the necessary stuff like job type (Permanent Fulltime), start date, hours per week, wage, job title... but no duties.
I ask this because that how my manager gave to employees in the past if they didn't ask for something specific like job duties (that the sample he uses for everyone).
Of course I will ask him the correct format for EE in August if I couldn't get into that 40k. But just for now to save time for him, is that OK ?
