I also think the site will crash, however, I don’t think IRCC is that naive not to anticipate it. That’s why I think they’ll have a screening wizard or a queue system to register. Even theirs social media team seems to be hyping the new pathway:

Yeah they like to hype things like that.
How many paystubs should be uploaded as the complementary proof?
I think 3, 4 recent pay slips should be fine. I will give them 4 if the stream is still gonna be open until 16, 17th May when I will apply.

Someone said that you cannot press “submit button” if you don’t have the basic docs at the time you apply. If you try to go around or do some tricks, that will be a fraud(mispresentation? I think)
Yea I've read that too somewhere, well we have to wait another 4 days to see how the system will be designed.

Two questions!
1) Filling up IMM008, which category of immigration should we select? CEC? I don't see anything like "new policy"...
2) Does anyone have the link to register in advance? I remember someone posted it before but I couldn't find it!

Thanks again as always!

Do not fill that form yet, it will be updated to include the new pathways.

Hi everyone, looking for some suggestions here:

My PGWP is going to expire next year in April, For EE I will be eligible in July this year but i was hoping to apply for this stream. I have my IELTS book for May 20th, Medical and PCC completed by next week. I just want to know should I go for this stream. As no one is sure about proccessing times for the applications under this new stream and my PGWP expires next year but I will not be eligible for BOWP under this program. I am just little confuse between this new program and EE. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Thank you
I would first see if the program is still open by the time you have your IELTS results. If the program is still open and hasn't already hit the cap of applicants, then by all means apply.

Hey guys,
I'll graduate next September. Do you think I'll be ably to apply to this new program ? I'm a French speaker so I can apply in September/October as there is no quota for French-speaking graduates.
As I won't have a copy of my diploma by the end of this program in November, do you know if a letter of completion and a final transcript are enough for the application ?
Thanks !

Quick question guys.
My IELTS is tomorrow morning. Honestly I don't feel prepared, and I'm a native English speaker o_O.
My test was supposed to be on May 23rd. On Friday, IELTS reps called me that they have to switch me because of overbooking. It was either May1st, 3rd or sometime in June. I was scared that June was too far and May 1st was literally the next day. So I opted for the 3rd (Tomorrow) I'm freaking out because I don't have enough time to prepare
What is the lowest score to be eligible to apply for the TR to PR program. I saw online it says:
  1. Have attained a level of proficiency of at least benchmark 5 in either official language for each of the four language skill areas, as set out in the Canadian Language Benchmarks or the Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens. This must be demonstrated by the results of an evaluation by an organization or institution designated by the Minister for the purpose of evaluating language proficiency under subsection 74(3) of the Regulations; and the evaluation must be less than two (2) years old when the permanent residence application is received;

Honestly, I don't feel like I'm getting a band 7 or 8 or 9. Maybe I'll feel less pressure and do better tomorrow. But if I get a Band 5 or 6, can I still apply?
I'm just preparing myself incase I don't get a good score in the test LOL

Please advise

I got an overall 8.5 without having taken the test before (took TOEFL for college) and without having even looked at the exam. I'm not even a native speaker. You'll be fine.

Also, just FYI you've won the lottery.

You are a native speaker? C'mon man :) you'll nail it. I went to write ielts academics in 2017 before I came to study here in Canada without any preparation and english is not my native language. I couldnt really study because I was working a lot and just saving money for here. And I received enough to go to college to Canada. My speaking was 7,5 I remember I used the word LOQUACIOUS somewhere in the context haha. If you are a native speaker you really shouldnt worry, just dont be nervous. Benchmark 5 is really basic english without any fancy words, just very basic.

Wait till the pathway open on Thursday and look for the documentations required to prove the canadian credential. If they don't need a copy of the diploma you may be able to apply but you will have your answer on Thursday.

To all who booked IELTS after May 15: Keep refreshing British Council’s website. Available spots are still showing up simply because a lot of people who successfully registered for an earlier date are cancelling their bookings. BC emails those who has not paid for their test exactly one week before the test date and will cancel the appointments accordingly.
