Do the delhi embassy person interviews in english? My husband is bad with english language. He got his form filled by someone and he didn't opt for translator. He mentioned he knows english. How can it be fixed? He in january 2018 applocant

Usually, BG status changes to "In process" at very end. But from what I observer so far, is for all applicants who got their AOR1 in 2018, their BG status changed to "in process" from the day their file got transferred to NDVO. But agiain

Secondly, Are you seeing "additional documents needed" on ecas or in GCKey? As if its on Ecas, then its normal. From How long you seeing additional documents needed?
Also, try calling CIC again on this, until they reply with similar answer. Sometimes rep' dont bother going through your file and they reply generically.

Okay so my BG isn't something to be so concerned about? It does seem like they change the BG to in process at various times in people's visa app. So I guess I'll see.

We have been seeing additional docs on Gckey since mid Feb. We had trouble linking our app. And finally got it linked around mid Feb and that's when it has said this and never changed.

I called cic in regards about it and they had uploaded his Aussie check and U.S. Check into one file. So it was showing that we were missing the Aussie police check. The agent fixed it and put them in their correct files and said that everything was clear from their side and that I needed to contact NDVO for anything else. I then waited about a 2 weeks and I called again to make sure. The agent said that everything was good on this side and that they couldn't help me further as it was in NDVO and contact them. Which I have sent 2 emails since July and no response.
Do you think I should call CIC again? They are kinda useless.

It took you 8 months after file moved to Delhi to get PPR?
Holy shit man, my file was moved to delhi on April 27th. and currently bgc is in "We are processing your application.." means IP2 stage, I think. It changed to this status about a month ago or so.

Can anyone advise how long will it take? I'm hoping before November I get approval. This is so nerve wracking.

I see you were not able to link you application to GCkey, and CIC agent helped you to do that for you (probably via online web forms, i guess). Now, as agent confirmed they fixed it. So hopefully you will see that status changed to "additional documents not needed or we are reviewing documents you provided". It may take anywhere between 17 days to 30 days.

Now, as you linked you file in your GCKey account, I would recommend you to go to GCkey > got you your file > click "View Submitted Application" link > You will see list of documents you need to upload. And its its already uploaded , it would be in green color. if you dont see your documents uploaded, then do upload then And complete the wizard.

"I did call Immigration with your concerns regarding your husband’s sponsorship.

The agent told me that the usual processing time is 12 months, so since the application was received October 2017, we’re still within that period and it’s normal for the status to still be “in process”.


It is a good sign that he has been sent the pre-arrival email, however this doesn’t necessarily mean that his status will change because of it."

I did respond and asked if they could keep getting updates. I also asked if it was possible for them to contact NDVO. If I get any other updates that can help those of us who have only received the pre-arrival email and nothing since, I will post it. However I have the feeling the best we will get is it is within the 12 month processing window.

Submitted passport for stamping on Aug 26th. Any ideas on how long it could take to receive the passport back?

That's what it looks like. What was really frustrating for me was that it is clear in the response that they didn't check the status of my husband's application but just responded with the generic 12 month answer. It doesn't seem to matter that I told them that other October people are getting their passport requests, after we got the pre arrival email so it is pretty clear that NDVO is processing October. Anyway I'll see if I get anything further and as I said will share if it is something useful.

Here's hoping that we might get some good news soon.
