Thanks for the wishes. I was planning to book my trip to India in Jan. Usually how long is the validity of the Visa? We did out medical in Feb. I heard it is one year from the date of the medical exam, but just wanted to confirm.

Also, can anyone advice what is confirmation of permanent resident and how do I get it? Apparently it is needed when landing.

Very true...I don't know why they are not taking Jan-Mar applicant seriously ...it's more than 8 months now and crossing all my patience level. I was hoping to hear something good this month atleast...but now feeling very sad and annoying....

God why are you not hearing our request...why? ???

Can't immigration dept. understand one basis thing that how difficult it's to live far from spouse for so many months...and that too immediately after marriage :-X

I just want to get over this waiting game......it's enough
