You need to provide true detail about Ndvo answers. Be truthful with your reply and provide as much photos while your spouse in India and communication between your spouse. Gud luck.

Background:
1. Gt married in Aug'2013. But My Sponsor husband had to wait for almost 1-1/2 yrs to obtain his T4 Tax Deduction slip from his employer - received in Feb2015.
2. Then he applied for Tax Return in May'2015. When about to submit the forms, he found out that PR forms got amended around Aug'2015.
3. In Meantime- his brother from Dubai was getting married in India in Dec'2015- so decided to fill out forms together when my husband visit India in Dec'2015.
4. Submitted completed form in Mar'2016 after thorough rechecks. Got SA DM in July'2016.
5. Now query from NDVO to PA - Reasons as to Why delayed submission of application, need post marriage photos etc.

So preparing reply- if any tips, please do guide me- SOS!!

Without knowing more about your situation, its really hard to say. Is there a good reason why you guys waited for this long to file a visa, cause thats really long. Even if the reason is not good, I would tell the truth, whether he didnt have a job to qualify for financial support or you had to take care of family or business in India. Make sure if he's supported you financially during that time you need to show bank receipts or money order and chat or skype logs during that time. As long as you can back up the fact that you guys were still connected during the 3 years there shouldn't be any issue, just explain it well and yes send tons of pictures.

You can hear back as quickly as a week to ten days with the online application. Another two weeks for Passport stamp, depending on where you live and how you deliver the passport, but once you get approved does it really matter how long the whole process takes.

Its a Canadian Government office where duties are fulfilled by officers living in India

Living apart for 3 years that sad! I feel your reason as couldn't get a T4 slip is weak because its not mandatory to attach your IT returns with your application. Instead, you could have attached letter of employment, payslips & bank statement and other incomes. Anyways, past is past. If i have to build a case, I would write a strong letter of explanation with some other reasons (You may exaggerate the facts but NEVER lie) and attach concrete evidence like all the travel tickets, boarding passes of your husband visit between that 3 three years, chat logs, Skype or face time history and attach photos of your trip together and events that you attended together (as you mentioned brother marriage).
