Hi everyone,

We are 8 May applicant, thinking to apply notes. What do u think, should we go for it or wait sometime more? :-\

Actually I am going to India in Feb to meet my husband and planning to stay there for month. Just curious to know if everything is fine on my application.

My main concern to find out if interview recommended or waived.

It's highly unlikely that you'll get any useful info in your notes before March. I would have asked you to wait at least till Feb end, but since you're coming to India, I would recommend you to apply for notes when you return to Canada in March. Until then enjoy your time here with your husband, you'll feel less anxious when you'll be with him. If you're really lucky you might hear from NDVO while you're still here and then there will be no need to apply for notes at all :)

Congrats iqbal and draxz...for receiving passport with visa...
Wish u guys gud luck for future ...
God bless

N congrats to all who recieved remedical request n ny sort of update by ndvo.

Mike23 (hope I got your name right) I have been a silent follower, can you please add me to the spreadsheet. I think my husband did his medical in March but we are unsure of the exact date. In process October 9

I love checking all the happy news on Sunday and Mondays ;D

Hello guys, I see a lot of people wanting to apply for notes and MP enquiries these days. Please consider the following before you do.

Notes:
Yeah sure notes cost only $5 but unless your file has undergone an initial review, you will not find anything useful in there..no info on eligibility or security or criminality, forget about Interview recommendation. From what we can estimate from the spreadsheet, the initial review takes an average of 10 months from the date on which your application was received by the CIC. So if you want to save yourself from disappointment and don't want your file to be pulled out of queue, do yourself a favour and do not apply for notes before giving it atleast 10 months. I would ideally ask you to give it a years time. However, IF you need to check if CIC/NDVO has updated any changes for eg postal or email address or anything like that, or an UNUSUAL amount of time has passed and NDVO hasn't contacted you then please ignore what's written above and go ahead and apply. (Read unusual as everyone who applied within 3-4 weeks before and after you has received one or the other correspondence but you have nothing. Again, use the spreadsheet to help yourself)

MP enquiry:
Firstly, no MP can help you in getting your case processed sooner. Love them or hate them for it, but that's how it is. Where an MP can help you is that they can contact NDVO on your behalf and enquire about the current status of your file. Apparently earlier MP enquires were a big deal but now mostly MPs are reverting with the standard "You need to wait till your 17 months period has passed" reply. It is PROBABLY because MPs are getting too many requests and they also have other work to do. You might have voted for them because their party promised to reduce the application processing time, but come on, they have other priorities as well. When you do decide to approach your MP, make sure you atleast have your notes with you and you're asking them to enquire because there is no other way you can help yourself.

We all understand how hard the wait is, but a Family Class Sponsorship visa is all about patience. We are not alone in whatever we are going through. At the beginning of 2015, the processing time at NDVO was 5-6 months then for some reason it increased to 8-9 months and God knows if it'll increase or decrease in the coming months. Let's keep ourselves busy with other aspects of our life, keep motivating each other and keep praying for everyone.

Disclaimer - The above isn't meant to offend or discourage or hurt anyone. You can choose to ignore the whole post and do your own thing. It is a free country after all.

On a mellower note, hoping the coming Monday brings our forum atleast 10 DMs and PPRs :)

I know this is a little forward thinking but I understand that anyone who's on PR needs to have a PR card with them when traveling. If they don't have a PR they need a letter outlining their PR status with them when traveling. So when applicants for Spouse PR get their PR Visa in their passport, I assume they are also given a letter to show immigration officers in Canada too since they will not have a PR card on their person?
Hello Marina quelle... :
Well the letter u r talkin about is Travel Document..Person only need it when he got PR status in canada and didnt got his her PR card yet... if he get out of country without PR card he she can't enter canada again without pr Card unless he got travel document!!!... Travel documents can be get from the country you r travelling... U need to apply it from Canada's Visa Centre (Not High Commission) situated in that country u r visiting!!!... So you don't need travel document (if your a principal applicant)...
Hope that helps...

Hi, like many others , I have also been one of the silent follower of this forum.
And read all the posts before sleeping to get updates of NDVO working and for sure it gives hope and strengthen it.
I am 4th May applicant 2015 and expecting to hear from ndvo in coming months (observing the present trend).
Does any one think that if one is married for gud 4-5 years and sponsorship is taking place after that, does it raise red flag? Or is usual? Or has any positive impact on case?

Thanks in advance for reply.
And all the best to everyone.
