I didn't go through a lawyer, but i put my file in myself after consulting with few lawyers. When i received AOR and request of police clearance, i never replied to the letters because i thought I didn't have to since i had submitted all the documents initially with the application.

So i'm thinking because i didn't reply to their letters my file might be delayed?
Could be. I also filed myself without seeking help for lawyers. All was smooth until the file reached NDVO. After that, they ask for few documents and we took a month to reply. Then, we got another set of requests from them to submit my travel history and salary information in Canada. We submitted that with in a week. Its been 6 months after that and they have not communicated. We sent few case specific enquiries bot no response. Has ordered the notes and waiting. It seems once we don't have smooth clearance of process in the VO, they put our files on hold processing fresh applications. And it seems , once we are shelved they will wait for some time to go back to the previous files.I am guessing this way on my file as well.

what's interesting is, this might be true 50/50 but i doubt it only because my wife did her remeds on November 8th, then in the GSCM notes, they had updatd re-meds on November 24th, then it was assigned to a different officer on November 27th. Since then it shows location: registry.. (i order the notes on December 6th and received it on January 6th). Ordered 2nd pair of notes February 26th

Did they ask for other supplementing documents during the process? I wonder if other members in the forum have similar patterns of document request and putting files in the registry (as the forum is discussing right now). And there are applicants waiting since July 2014. It would be clear if applicants before you who are waived from interview share the timeline. Hoping we could somehow crack the pattern here.

nope, no additional documents requested. according to the notes the proof and everything is sufficient to convince them of legitimate relationship and says no adverse info etc... waiver recommended

That's unique, I guess. Hopefully we can hear the same from others.

Hello guys,

Just recently received my husband's re-medical instructions. This is what it says,

Once you identify a panel physician in your area, book an appointment for your medical examination. When you schedule your appointment, please ensure that arrangements are made for your chest x-ray and laboratory tests as well. Once your medical has been completed the doctor will forward the medical results to CIC.

Are they just asking for a chest x-ray and laboratory tests or are they asking for a full re-medical? Also, if it is just the x-ray and lab test, how much would it cost?

THank you

unfortuantely only a few people for 2014 left and most dont want to come together to raise the voice.
What you could do is call your local MP and raise the voice.

It is like a full medical.. We received the same instructions.. It cost RS 4100.

Most of the remaining 2014 applicants are minority group like second marriage, female sponsorer(male applicant), less photo and documents provided, or conflicting document provided. Who ever doesnt fit normal cases and requires second review are left out.

I don't think male/female PA is an issue here. And not all the applicants are getting red flags. Most of the easy processing applications are done. I suppose and its my guess that most of the applicant in the forum are waiting in the process and there is something peculiar with the case processing. Such as late response, no communication from the VO and others. It seems no one in the forum is sure why the process is slow for us. Let's share the processing details so that we can have a good guess on whats happening with others. :(

We don't fall under those categories (as i believe) but i am sure that there are certain issues delaying my application. It would be really nice to know what that is. The real problem is the lack of communication from NDVO. If they ask for documents, it would be easy as we would have time to prepare for documents or other things. Lets see

That's nice. When did you get the email from the VO?

It looks like 2014 applicants processing timelines are 24 months.

Usually document request will delay the process. Minimum is 1 month max is 6 months.
If there is any kind of suspension or complex it will be kept in queue for 3 months to be reviewed by higher officer.
