Hello everyone! I would like to share some information that I had recieved today after the MP inquiry

We are a September 17th applicant - I am a Canadian born Citizen sponsoring my wife from India, wife received no communication from NDVO since November 2014 (AOR 2) medicals expired in July. So we were told by family and friends to visit MP and after a couple visits to the MP office they had finally got back to me with the following information:

1.) file has been received but not been selected yet
2.) eligibility not started
3.) background check still remaining
4.) also mentioned still within processing times

Also got to know today that the process is upto 19 months now (17+ The 2 months worth time from when NDVO received file from Canada) I was also told to contact MP office again after the October elections because at this time there is no MP and just candidates running! This is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.. I cannot believe nothing whatsoever has been started yet on September applicants yet they are processing Oct and so on! NDVO at its finest.. Sick and tired of the wait! This should explain why some applicants have been waiting for 17-18 months.. You still have 1-2 more months to go! Also for those Sept 2014 applicants that are just AR/MR like my wife .. It doesn't automatically mean interview queue, It means nothing has been done and just sitting aside pending! RIDICULOUS!!

Hang in there! I am a July applicant and got the same information from MP. I moved back to Toronto in Feb 2014 from Mumbai and then applied for sponsorship from Toronto. Have been married for 9 years now. We have a child together. My daughter and I are both Canadians. My file just went in process on Aug 17th and my medicals expired on June 30, I got re-meds on Aug 18th after my file went in-process. Just hang in there. My daughter and I are both waiting impatiently for my husband. Your time will come soon too. Good luck and all the best. God bless.

Just hang on tight. There are some September applicants that are still waiting on in-process just like yourself. All I can say is just be prepare for anything, re-medical, interview, etc... New Delhi is still processing the the last 2 weeks of September and October. Don't worry, you'll hear something soon!

Have you applied for notes?
If not strongly suggest to apply for one. You will get more details through notes.

NVDO works like a casino slot machine.
If few person wins money doesn't mean you will also win. Like wise some thing happens to few people doesnt mean same thing will happen to others.
There is absolutely no rules at NDVO.

I have seen people go in-process as soon as they get their interview letter like my friend Magicman April 2014 applicant.

If you are In-Process then 99% of time you won't receive an interview letter.

For Jaytanz, wait for 3-4 more months to receive interview letter (Nov. - Dec.)

Thank you everyone for giving us lots of help and information. I did called cic today but they said they cant help me out. I have to contact the right visa office for enquiry. I hope we will receive ppr soon. My husband was asked the following questions at the interview
1.where does i work
2.what car i drive
3. Who is my employer
4.who introduce us
5. Why arrange marriage.
6. Where we went for honeymoon
7. Who picked honeymoon place
8. Who came to the wedding
9. My likes and dislike
10. Time i go and off work & what time we talk to eachother

Continuing interview question.
11. How long i been working for the company
12. One tricky question was asked by the vo. Where did i work before working for my current job. Since i am in canada i been working the same company past 15 years and its my 1st job. My husband told the vo. I never had a job before my current. This is my wife's 1st job. The vo was satisfied.

Thank you manat this is most definitely help others prepare +1. CIC call centres here will not be able to answer or help on the applicants file in India, the only way is to submit an case specific inquiry or via the email (which I dont know)

Draxz1289. You r right. Cic here cant help. Even our lawyer in toronto receive no ppr. What a torture to our souls. We will wait for 1 more week then might go with mp enquiry. Those whose interviews are coming up. Get to know your spouse inside out. Go through your application and order notes to see the comments of the vo and to why interview is conducted. This all will help you alot.

When the file goes to IP (that's a very good sign). It means that if your medical has expired, then you will get a re-medical request. And after that you get Decision Made (DM) status on ECAS and then you get a passport request letter/email.

how much time after remed our status will get dm nd they will ask fof passport

Swati,

I have seen a candidate who got DM on the same day of ReMed. But there are candidates who waited up to 3 months after ReMed.

If all checks (criminality n background) are over, you will get PPR within one week of DM.

I got remed first and in process 3 days after remed so I just hope I get dm in this month

No actually we tlked to lawyer about not3s he said we shud order notes after our file exceeds 17 months and I got in process after 10 months

Your lawyer is ignorant. Fire him.
Notes can be ordered anytime and any number of times for just $5 charge each time.
It better to keep ordering as soon as people in same time frame as you go to inprocess. This way you will know exactly whats happening with your file and works cheaper than paying money to your lawyer who has no idea about process.
