I have seen people go in-process as soon as they get their interview letter like my friend Magicman April 2014 applicant.

If you are In-Process then 99% of time you won't receive an interview letter.

For Jaytanz, wait for 3-4 more months to receive interview letter (Nov. - Dec.)

I hope so! Someone was stating that in process is independent from any interview.

Just to assurance, do you have any proof of that statement? I would love to hear it! :)

From what I have seen lately, It seems that all the visa officers are instructed to change the status of the file they touch, to IP. So I think in future we will see people getting interviews even after getting IP.

Proof is if you see the 2014 spreadsheet. Everyone who is scheduled for interview don't have In-Process dates.
The only exception is YPRA. And he/she is an exception because he even received his interview letter ahead of everyone else, maybe because the Visa officer thinks its an easy one and just needs some minor proofs.

Jay bhai, just order notes. you will know exactly in 30 days what they did. I would assume, if they cancelled your interview, they would do that by passing your eligibility and you should see that in your notes. in the meantime, you can assume your interview to be both on and off simultaneously. somewhat like the schrodinger's cat. ;-)

Wait for your IP before applying for notes.

I don't want to jump for joy since New Delhi is always changing, new procedures, new laws, and new regulations are always coming to the market. I don't know if I should be happy or scared.... I just hope no interview for anyone. I don't want anyone to deal with the stress with the interview, eager to meet with their love ones.

Best of luck to everyone and god speed.

I agree with rambopg as well it looks like people who have interview dont get IP - this is what I have seen on the spreadsheet and also from people who have got the interview. Also I am cautious as you Mateen_aka its NDVO and they are a forever changing office.

Hello everyone! I would like to share some information that I had recieved today after the MP inquiry

We are a September 17th 2014 applicant - I am a Canadian born Citizen sponsoring my wife from India, wife received no communication from NDVO since November 2014 (AOR 2) medicals expired in July. So we were told by family and friends to visit MP and after a couple visits to the MP office they had finally got back to me with the following information:

1.) file has been received but not been selected yet
2.) eligibility not started
3.) background check still remaining
4.) also mentioned still within processing times

Also got to know today that the process is upto 19 months now (17+ The 2 months worth time from when NDVO received file from Canada) I was also told to contact MP office again after the October elections because at this time there is no MP and just candidates running! This is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.. I cannot believe nothing whatsoever has been started yet on September applicants yet they are processing Oct and so on! NDVO at its finest.. Sick and tired of the wait! This should explain why some applicants have been waiting for 17-18 months.. You still have 1-2 more months to go! Also for those Sept 2014 applicants that are just AR/MR like my wife .. It doesn't automatically mean interview queue, It means nothing has been done and just sitting aside pending! RIDICULOUS!!

If I remember correctly, there is one applicant -ypra- who received interview letter after getting IP. October applicant...
