Hi, I created a cic account for my wife and applied through that. It pretty much walks you through all the process and lists all the documents which need to be scanned and upload. However, I am unable to find the processing time for this. It has already been 2 weeks and not sure how much longer it can take

IF I GET MY PR CAN I TAKE MY BABY ALONG WITH ME WITH VISITOR VISA.. DO THEY GRANT VISITOR VISA TO CHILDREN??

Can u pls help the forum by sharing information abt how u applied trv online??

I will certainly share all the details my friend. I am leaving for work now, so will share all the details in the evening. My wife applied in person and not online.

Hi everyone,

Has anyone applied for visitor visa online recently ? Can you please advise on how long does it take ? I was trying to find processing times but outside of canada it does not seem show timing for online applications.

Thanks in advance
I had applied for TRV in May 2014 . I got an update in 2 or 3 weeks to send my passport . I received the passport with visa within a week after that. So , total time was maximum a month.
But I had applied from USA so I am not sure if time varies in India.
Also, about applying for TRV :

1)Create an account on CIC website
2)Once you create , it will ask you some basic questions and will generate a list of documents you need to upload
eg: Travel history, employment letter ,invitation letter, proof of income , digital photo , document to support purpose of travel (eg wedding card if you are attending a wedding etc), passport copy, basic family information
3)Submit the application

After couple of weeks you will get an email or message in your CIC account requesting your passport and details about how and where to send it.

My wife finally gave me the good news that she has been granted a TRV. She will be here soon for 6 months and then go back for her PPR. When that would happen GOK; that's the only good news that I can share with all of you. Try for a TRV if there is a long delay (don't know when these buggars will process our PR files); if everything is in order they seem to be granting a TRV; that's the least they can do.

This evening I will sign the petition as well so that our voices are heard.

Hi buggleboy,
My wife is here on TRV as well. My question is, will she have to go back to India to submit her passport when she gets a PPR or can she do that within Canada?

Not needed to go back to India when ever she get the PPR u need to send your passport to ottava case processing centre where they stamp visa on her passport and u could either go out of canada or to a us border to get the exit and in purpose done. It is confirmed from cic when i aksed them about the same matter.

This is a million dollar question for which even I have no answer. From what other members shared here, I believe we can send our PP to an office in Ottawa for visa endorsement and then move out of Canada and then come back into the country. This is what I think it is.

thanks tintumon and buggleboy,
i hope that is the case. I will call CIC in a few days and confirm.
