NDVO is wasting time even after giving IP. Meanwhile if medicals expire, its waste of money and time to redo it. Might as well request medicals after giving out IP.
I don't buy the idea that security and criminality takes months to complete. I have observed in different threads that even with lots of travel history, people get DM, PPR in 2 weeks after IP. How is it possible for them to finish the background checks so soon. I am sure they are not visiting every address we have provided in our 10 year history.
How much time will it take to search through a database and may be do few additional checks. And why is it that only in Delhi, the officers need more time to do the checks. ???

Did you order notes Calgariandoll ?

I sent an MP inquiry yesterday... I confirmed with them today they said they sent it yesterday so let's see

kandelbsn ,
Your is fast bcus you are Nepali Citizen application processed through NVDO.
For Indian Citizen @ NVDO line is different altogether.
For majority NVDO is processing July-Aug applications.
Only less than 1% cases (special cases) its processed faster than this.

Hii everyone need ur guidance.i m August 7applicant.my pcc is going to expire on 23may 2015 and medical expiry date is 11june.so I want to ask does both pcc and medical are valid for a year ?do we need to send them again.and can we send prior without receiving any email from ndvo?thanks a lot...

Its upto you.
Do you value time more than money? Then send it before they ask.
Otherwise wait till they ask you & then send it.

Hi there
How did you get the idea that PCC expires ? PCC never expires. I have not read anything like this in this forum or heard elsewhere. Medical is valid for a year which is stated in CIC website. But most often medicals will be extended. By proactively doing ur re medicals and extending its validity, you are giving cic more time to screw ur app. Better to wait till u get remedical request.
Those who have upcoming interviews can do remedicals to save time as most often they are asked to do it.

Even the rules for PCC has been modified recently

"For the country you currently live in, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before you apply.

For countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country."

Here is a link which explains about Medical Reassessments.

My understanding is that if medicals was done within last 15 months, there is a chance CIC medical officer will evaluate the medical file again and re issue a new medical certificate which is valid for more time.

There is a flow chart too.

There is no reprive if you are a Nepali Citizen. Our Application was recieved on 30th June 2014. My wife is also a Nepali citizen & it is In Process since 27th march 2015. My wife had to do her medicals again in April. Since then no update so one thig is certain that NDVO doesn't discriminate.

Chandan
