Hello , my husband has applied me in May 2014. I want to know how long spouse visa process will take time?

I need some help/suggestion from SENIORS:

CIC New Delhi Office has requested Police Clearance Certificates from FBI (USA) and India, Medicals and RPRF to be submitted by 1st week of November.

I already got the Indian Police Clearance Certificate from Passport Office and Medicals have been done.

I applied for the USA Clearance Certificate from FBI in September. However, due to some internal system issues, FBI website has notified that it would take about 12 weeks to process any Summary Request (US Police Clearance Certificate). There is no way to expedite the process also.

So, this means I will not be able to submit the FBI Clearance Certificate by 1st week of November to the New Delhi Visa Office as visa office had requested.

So what do I do now? Is there any risk that CIC may reject my application since this just one document could not be submitted by the specified/requested date? Except the FBI Clearance document I have everything else.

Many people have submitted the PCC at a later stage...so you can apply in NOV, and submit PCC when asked for it

PCC is only required in STAGE 2 of the process hence one NEW DELHI receives you application after STAGE 1 approval they request for PCC. you can submit at that time...

Good luck with your application...

Hi Kan_Sri/Others,

As mentioned in my earlier post, New Delhi CIC has asked for the Medicals, Police Certificates and PR Fees to be submitted by November 1st week. So, this is Stage 2.

However, I will be unable to submit the US PCC from FBI before the November 1st week deadline since FBI process is taking 12 weeks.

My question is: what do I do now?

Thanks,

write a covering letter - include the receipt of the application for FBI clearance and ask for an extension. mention you will submit as soon as you receive the FBI certificate.

Sorry, i misunderstood in my previous post..

As Kan_sri explained write a cover letter, also I would guess, do let them know about this issue and file a Case Specific Enquiry also.

Ok I have really silly question.

In passport request, they require information about applicant and spouse.

If I am sponsoring my wife, I would still be called applicant?

"5) PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION FOR YOU, YOUR SPOUSE, AND CHILDREN:
(Please continue on a separate sheet if you have additional children) "

OR However, if this email is sent to my wife, she should be consider applicant and I would be the spouse!!

Confused! :-\
please help!
your wife as a applicant and you as a spouse
