Hi all,
My husband filed my application in april and I got my sponsorship approval on 23rd may'14. It looks like from the excel sheet that few of the april month's applicants status has changed to in process. My status is still showing as application receivedI am hoping my application status to get changed to in process soon in coming days. Any comments plz..

I need some help/suggestion from SENIORS:

CIC New Delhi Office has requested Police Clearance Certificates from FBI (USA) and India, Medicals and RPRF to be submitted by 1st week of November.

I already got the Indian Police Clearance Certificate from Passport Office and Medicals have been done.

I applied for the USA Clearance Certificate from FBI in September. However, due to some internal system issues, FBI website has notified that it would take about 12 weeks to process any Summary Request (US Police Clearance Certificate). There is no way to expedite the process also.

So, this means I will not be able to submit the FBI Clearance Certificate by 1st week of November to the New Delhi Visa Office as visa office had requested.

So what do I do now? Is there any risk that CIC may reject my application since this just one document could not be submitted by the specified/requested date? Except the FBI Clearance document I have everything else.

FBI timelines are a bit longer and I have read somewhere that when you request the certificate you can mention any time deadlines in a cover letter (or even on top of the package ). It doesnt guarantee anything but they can try to accomodate. Since you have already applied there, try sending a follow up letter to FBI mentioning your application and the deadline. not sure if it helps but doesnt hurt i guess.

And yes, sending a letter to Delhi will atleast explain your situation to them and may buy you more time.

Applied on August 1st, 2014
they changed undertaking on August 1st(itself) so they asked me to Resubmit the newer version on August 28th

Newer version was submitted on Sep 15th

Sponsorship approved and File Transferred on Sep 30th

and now I am in the waiting game !!! :'( :'( :'(
