Hello friends,

I'll soon be filing for my spousal sponsorship and After reading an abundance of posts from both Inland and outland applicants.
I've find out that Inland applicants have a significantly larger wait time as compared to outland.
Though she's already in Canada but I feel Outland filing to be the best bet. (I always thought Inland is better)

"I see most of the applicants here have given Medicals prior to filing their application.
Can anyone please help me what exactly needs to be done for the advance medicals so that I can start my spouse's sponsor process right away"
Any additional suggestion would be of great help. Thank you.

Good luck with your application. Please check for CIC authorized doctor list in the url below.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx

you need to tell them it is an upfront exam and they need your passport details.

Thank you Kan_Sri. I'll book an appointment tomorrow.
It will be of great help if you can share any important thing that you may have experienced during the process or you think would make a difference during filing.

Hello Jbedi ,
Its been a long wait .Its good to know that we all are in the same boat . my App. was rcvd by CIC-M on 30th dec 2013 . My SA was on 5th feb 2014 but neither me nor my sponsor were aware of it till 1st April 2014 when i rcvd my first mail from NDVO requesting for police clearance and landing fee . The letter was dated on 8th march 2014 . It took them 24 days to email me that letter . Its annoying but we can't do anything about it. Since we are early 2014 applicants . Kindly keep updating your status whenever they ask for your PPR .Its good to see people helping each other. Keep up the good work guys :)

The wait is surely going to be killing. Fingers crossed and wishing for speedy visas to all of us, but before that PPR's :)

Thanks, Jasleen!

Hey All,

We submitted our application in Dec'13.. haven't got any PPR till date.. this process seems to be way too long..

Is it worth taking risk to apply for TRV while PR still in process..Im of two minds.. ::)

We are waiting eagerly to hearing from you when late Dec applicants and Jan applicants get your ppr. Please keep us posted/updated. The New Delhi 2014 is a very cozy small group.

Your help much appreciated.

1) Is there any Dec 13 applicant who has got PPR, my application was received on DEC 3 and still no PPR

2) when NDVO sends the passport do they use courier service or normal post

2.1 My village is in very remote area and cannot trust india post, can i tell them not to send the passport and request for pickup

2.2 Can i give them address of my choice where they can send back the passport, in this case i will provide them a relative's address in delhi

please suggest:-

Hi Guys, just wanted to share something I saw on 2013 forum. A mid-Sept applicant got a call from NDVO asking what her husband do, where they met etc. She said it was like a mini interview. This is something new that I have seen. I wonder if NDVO has started to take mini interviews on the phone? Wonder if this will become common practice to speed up applications. God only knows.....

Hello All,
Feel free to use https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgtLnoSsGQaqdEk3NGhTSlU5MlVodzhKLV9CaktfUEE&usp=drive_web#gid=0 to find your estimated DM date based on your milestone dates.

This excel sheet uses data of recently completed cases of NDVO only.

i got married in India this January. We didnot go out for honeymoon..as she is teacher , and final examinations in her school were approaching, she could not get off from her school, though we went to local sightseeing places, so many times..

We explained this very nicely and exhaustively on separate paper...what are your thoughts????

I'm thinking too for this option. My friend applied and she got without any issues.

in most cases they don't give tourist visa.....but you will not be punished for applying for TRV....
