Hi,

Did you all write explanations behind each photographs enclosed by you in file?
I read in some blogs that one should write explanations on photographs.

Cheerss!!!

yes I wrote behind each pic the details......didn't wanna take any risk ....and i rather spend more time doin my application just so it was easier for the VO to understand every picture !!

Hi Team, applied on the 27th of January, 2014
Acknowledgement of receipt - February, 22nd 2014
File Transfer (Eligible to sponsor) - February 25th, 2014.

On average how long does it take to get the passport call? And does getting the passport call mean that the visa has been approved?

@DNP2213 - Yes I got an email from CIC stating that I have been approved to sponsor my wife and that it has been forwarded to New Delhi for processing!

@Myrah7.. thanks for your wishes! 1-6 weeks!! That's fast! Well since the strike lasted all of 2013, I'm pretty sure it might get back to regular SLA now! We have already completed the medicals before and paid full fees! Hopefully, that should speed up the processing!

Hi, for the 2014 batch, it takes a month for NDVO to email you their acknowledgement of receipt. Then in another month they will send you Passport request. Calling for passport does not mean that your visa is approved. NDVO likes to hang on to it even before they open your file. They open to review your file 6-12 months after they get your file. Good luck with your application.

Most welcome we all did Medicals n paid the fees before hand but unfortunately the strike has delayed everything n they still working on back log from 2012 files onwards n processing time for ndvo has gone to 12 months so u can expect your visa from 230 - 270 that's the average days if all is fine no ADR no interviews hope this helps good luck dear

Hey I am new to this forum.
its good to find some info here. I had applied for inland application in canada. and in some confusion when i received visitor record on implied status I left the country thinking , can re-enter later.

now my visitor visa also got refused so i will be applying for family visa from india.
my questions are:
1. How long is police certificate valid for obtained from delhi police ?

2. If birth certificate cant be given due some municipality issues what can be done in that case?

3. Do you submit application in Delhi VFS ?

Please help me
I am thoroughly confused atm.
