if your sponsor is requesting it, then you need to get a form signed from the applicant requesting release of information to you. The Fee is $5 CAD. i Just did it and waiting for results.

Also NDVO is really random its not first come first serve...its more of who is handling your application...if that officer has a lot of prending cases than ofc he has to clear those first...but he wont sit and wait for the ADRs. He will process with next Cases and come back to the old ones after the AD has arrived.

THEN IF FILE IS COMPLICATED THEY WILL ASK MORE DOCS OR INTERVIEW. AND IF IT LOOK GOOD THEY WILL PROCESS IT. IF THEY WONT TRUST YOUR PAPERS. YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A LONG WAIT. SOME PEOPLE I KNOW ITS BEEN 4 years. They r processing

can you please share your timeline too? 12 month avg....grrrr....hope you are wrong buddy...

As per my sources, They are pretty slow these days and running out of the Quota. Since it is usually first come first served, so the application submitted in 2013 are going to be cleared first, atleast most of them, and then our time comes. Some of us might get Visa earlier but it is safe to say that things would take longer time than expected. I would say 12 months an average, than I may be wrong too. I hope I am..

GCMS notes tells you everything about your file which VO has taken notes of. it will tell you redflags and everything you need to know...

it is helpful to know what VO is thinking about your file, their concerns and which department the file is located and moreimportantly what you need to know if you are scheduled for the interview, type of questions etc...
