Hi every one , its my first time to post on this website i really need help i have seen so many people helping each other. i m 2014 Nov applicant i have sponsored my husband through new delhi India and its in process now. recently i have received this email from New Delhi immigration office "In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following:
Ø > Passport/Travel Document: Valid passport or travel document. Please obtain your machine readable passport and submit it at the Islamabad office after you have received a request for the submission. This must be received at Islamabad office as soon you receive a request.

(Date format is YYYY/MM/DD)
Failure to submit them within that time period could result in the refusal of your application. Please quote our complete file number on your correspondence and send to the High Commission at the e-mail address. Unless specifically requested, original documents are not required. You may submit scanned copies by e-mail" HINT: New delhi embassy usually ask people to get their visa from Pakistan. which is normal according to our case.
I don't really understand this. my questions are:
1) does my husband need to update his old handwrite passport too or he has to just get the electronic passport?
2) should we wait till the request that they mentioned in the email or should we send ahead of time because his passport gets expired in 2016 march?
