Which documents they have requested you in ADR? i was requested for all type of photos ....

whats the time frame once they receive the ADR. Mine was sent 10 days ago still APR.

I have applied for notes today. My MP has told me that Security and background checks are In Process... and that the file has just passed 13 months so keep waiting...

I am now officially the longest application without a Visa for the year 2013 I believe...

This is horrible... I am thinking of writing a letter to NDVO but obviously it will not be read and thrown into the garbage... what can I do to push my file sitting in somebody's desk and collecting dust...what are my alternatives?

after 6 months of sending in application you can apply for notes (actually anytime but it won't make sense to apply for notes one month after sending in the application) though you are more likely to see 'application received' and 'nothing started' the longer you wait (up to 7 or 8 months) the more likely you would know if an interview is scheduled or not...

no it does not have negative impact..report is generated in vagerville (I think) canada and it does not affect your processing time

MP is faster but most MPs parrot what NDVO says ('within processing time so wait until it is over') but if your MP persists and does not take this standard response, he/she might get a real answer about your application status..GCMS is more detailed than MP....

Email..NDVO loves emails but sometimes they call to find out if the candidate would be available for an interview on such and such date..they normally give three to four weeks notice

Hello..applying notes will not effect ur processing of file at all, notes r much much better then MP enquiry,notes will take 30 working days...it will let u know wats going with ur file,if interview is recommended it will b mentioned there n reason for interview.. U shuld go ahead & apply..
I hv also applied 1st time n I b getting by 17th july.. Let see wat my notes will show..if u have a interview they will call & email u for d schedule & status will change to interview on "whatever d date is"

Hello BBU,
Usually they have a time period on the letter itself that is when they open the file again (seven days for re-medical, and 30 days for legal documents).

Not the longest my friend... we applied in November 2012.. my husband and I are at the 20 month mark... still waiting.. I feel your pain!!

I am sorry to ask this but were there any red flags? or some other issues?? coz from Nov2012 is a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig delay

You are not alone my friend. I am May 2013 applicant and still waiting. No interview for me and my status shows 'In process' since December last year and 3 and half months have already passed after my remedicals. MP gave me the same answer as yours 'Background checks are not yet done'. Already crossed 13 months time period and no news so far. I can feel your pain as there is no end in sight. I hope we get some good news soon.

I did once in month of April 2013 and thinking to apply again but I was unable to do so at 'attached your document' I have followed the step and file specification but I am stuck at attache document.

Our interview was in February 5, 2014 - and we were approved but my husband had to re-do his medical & India/Dubai PCC, we didn't get the request letter until March 10, 2014, my husband sent everything in to Immigration on March 18, 2014...

Our age difference(8years)/culture difference were the main reasons for the interview... but other than that I think a major delay was the strike Immigration went on, we got caught in a 6 month delay due to that.. and I think my husband just has the worst luck ever when it comes to immigration stuff!

He has a US visitor visa in his passport - so I guess it took them from March 18 until July 9-10th when they sent us a letter asking if he ever lived in the US - which we answered on the original application, the detailed travel history we put with the app... so we had to prepare another travel history and hope this one gives them whatever it is that they are looking for..

Is there anyone who got adr for wedding pictures? How long did It take NDVO to reply after sending adr ?
