Hi, I had a question. Are there any cases where the expiry date of the visa itself is different from the expiry date of medicals? Especially in cases where the visa is issued in just a few days before the medicals expiring?

Would help to know this. Thanks.

if visa is issued just few days before medical expiry (which is not practically possible), for sure they have extended the medical by few days or couple of weeks and the visa expiry date will be the medical expiry date for sure.
actually, 2-3 months back this was the trend but now it has been completely stopped, nobody gets these kind of quick visas anymore as they now prefer remedicals because it was creating pressure on them for giving visas

There are some cases like that, especially if someone has existing 10 years multiple visa of Canada, but his/her medical will be valid only for one year.
As per my knowledge he/she has to arrive in Canada before his/her medical gets elapsed .
Otherwise NDVO issues the visa to everyone before their medical get expired...

Exactly, sply if a professional is holding a H1B Visa as well( these days can get canadian PR that too fast tracked), and having a rocking carrier, why would they go for fake marriages that too when they need to resign from their awesome job to be with their respective life partners.

Without any ill-will against anyone here but I think we might be not sure but education, profession, family background does surely make your case strong/weak. :)

I feel they must give priority because professionals (if in FSW list) are for sure genuine, as they can move to Canada on their own, y would they pay huge bucks for MOC when they can get the same pr in $1000 instead of $100000.

as of now they don't give any priority because they are blindfolded with fancy marriage criteria when they are doing spouse visa and same officers know well how to understand a professional applicant's profile in FSW but unfortunately system doesn't work logically. Its something totally different.

When will my happy day come....

For September applicants, its tougher to see October applicants get their visas before them. I was one of the first few September applicants to get IP status and have been stuck there for 3 weeks. Everyone's turn will come hopefully.

Thanks neha2515 and chacha chaudry for your quick replies. I was asking with reference to immigrant visa.

why I asked this question as my timelines are similar to one user (named upsana...).

that person's application date was 15th Oct 2013, meds - 7th aug 2013 (I guess), IP - 5th July 2014, DM - 10th July

Assuming, he/she receives the passport immediately tomorrow (11th July) still that person has to make all the travel arrangements and travel before the 7th of Aug!!!

So it was rather very quick once the file was in process!!

random question, Is there any doctor on earth who can give guarantee that after passing his medical examination I won't get any communicable disease in next 12 days,
I am not even thinking for 12 months, common guys, be reasonable, 12 days ki guarantee is next to impossible. Ok how about 12 hours after medical exam. Is there any doctor or medical practitioner here in the forum who can advise me??
