passport submitted in 1st April 2014.
but yet no news
I'm extra frustrated...
is there anybody to tell me when would be my time?

you can get an approximate number if you can access spreadsheet (for some reason i cannot open spreadsheet)...on an average, I think it takes 8 - 10 months to get a visa...

w2e in my notes I see tht intended occupation business , is tht red flag ?coz my hubby just put business in form, and another thing is they have tht large number of excommunication sample sent to v/o remaining destroyed n they have said divorce certificate attached n my ex have emld them abt many issues n emld scanned n sent to vo it says , are these all red flags pls advise

Few days back a guy shared a news about CIC meeting in calgary and a decision for giving priority to strong cases in 6 months and push other cases to 13 months
seems like true, they are jumping to next month leaving more than half of applicants from current month, many aug were waiting when they started sep, lot of sep are waiting when they started oct, and I can bet they will start nov within 2-3 weeks leaving many oct.
Now the trend is to show they are quickly done with applicants and they will finish dec in mid of aug, and the whole big package behind are doubtful cases, its not their fault or slow speed...rt?? and they will prove to be most efficient staff

nice job NDVO well done, atleast some of us are happy, but what is the criteria to decide priority, fancy arrange marriage??wowww

Hi Taj, when did you receive your notes.usually they don't mention any red flags until they open the file for final processing.so from what you say, looks like your file has been touched upon already.

. I applied frist notes in march got them in April n I saw all those notes abt my ex writting to them n intended occupation of my current spouse is business n ecommunication n all , then I applied again in May n recive bed in June n all those notes abt my ex were removed or hidden now I'm not sure wots happening. I have applied again in 3 jul let see wot happens

My file has been in process for longer than a lot of people. usually it takes 1 week for most people but it has been more than 2 weeks now. IF there are any red flags, I've read on this forum that they identify them before putting the file in process and call an interview if needed. I don't know what is taking them so long.

no not red flags...they don't care how you plan to support yourself when you land in Canada (other than being on welfare..if you mentioned welfare then it is a big red flag and no one in their sane mind would admit planning to support themselves with government hand outs) or ex (unless the divorce was not done properly or documents not enclosed along with the application)....everyone says this is red flag and that is red flag visa officer looks at bunch of red flags and questions the genuineness of relationship and not based on one so called red flag...in my case it was sponsor's age and previous relationship; sponsored person's two failed attempts to get tourist visas though no major probing questions were asked except for date of birth of sponsor (for that it took them a year to arrange for an interview) and probing questions on tourist visa application..

The below query may have been asked a few times in this thread earlier. I could not find my specific situation.

I am a Canadian PR. I recently went to India and got engaged and did a court marriage. It was an arranged marriage, and both the families wanted to have a court marriage, and have the religious ceremony in December or January depending on my vacation. I want to sponsor my wife under the Family Class, and had the following questions.

- I only have pictures of the engagement ceremony and family dinners. I did not know that pictures of us hanging out would be required otherwise i would have taken them. Since the NDVO requires religious ceremony and honeymoon pictures, should i apply for the sponsorship now, or after the religious ceremony.
- IF i apply now, we can always provide pictures of the ceremony later? is this recommended?
- IS it recommended to have my wife change her last name to mine? Would this strengthen the case?
- I have skype, viber, whattsapp logs of our conversations. would that suffice along with the engagement pictures.

Please advise.

your situation is a good example of getting conflicting advises (get married not..no wait, don't do it now; change your name, no don't change it) for we have no idea what is the best option (if I do this will the morons ask me to appear for interview?)...if only someone can get an internal manual (if there is one available at NDVO) of what kind of situation leads to interview and what does not....I think they look at the total application and decide....

It's more than 15 days since my medical is expired but no email or letter for remedical ...
Seriously I can't even imagine how they are working on files ...
No system whatsoever at all....

Really disappointed yar ..

Any remaining August applicant got remedical request or any other info request...????

it is more likely that they will tell you at the time of the interview or few days after the interview...

HI W2E ,m oct2013 applicant ,what do u think till when oct applicants will get their visa?

by sept or oct..it looks like it takes them atleast 10 months to open a file and do something about it...
