Hello, I have been a casual observer of this forum the last couple of weeks. I need some help as I have been given a RE medical request even though my medical EXIRES July 04, 2014. So I am confused, how can medical expire before one year, I thought that the medical was valid for one year. So I am really confused, is this good news, or bad news.

This is weird...why are they asking so many sep applicants to go for remedical.Did your ecas mention before *Medical Results have been received*?
Did you check in your GCMS notes medical report column which mentions remarks by officer?Maybe they gave you an option to fly before medical expiry but you missed it....this happened to someone i know.

They won't allow you to fly on expired medicals...as expiry is closer now they working slow at snails speed so they realized ooh you need medicals retake. When did you got request ?

I know many people where they have been asked to fly like in a weeks time before and there's still some time for 04th July 2014 (like 12 days more to go).

My husband sent my file on November 14, 2013 and it was received the next day i.e Nov 15....
Yes, I agree with u and rk sandhu that no use applying before july end...

I hope all Aug applicants get good news tomoro onwards

Thanks for the reply, yes Ecas says Medical Results have been received, i received the medical request june 20 to my lawyers email. Any idea of how long it will take for decision made after submitting re medical.

A lot of september applicants getting dm or in process right before their medical expires. I am sept applicant with medical expiring July 04, 2014, but they asked me for re medical.

in my case remedicals was done may 14 and ecas changed to 'dm' on june 21..about a month and a week to change after remedicals..some got it later and some earlier...

Have you ordered GCMS notes before?
Depends on NDVO but generally they take anywhere from 1-2 months(exceptions cannot be ruled out here) after re-medicals to make a decision on that file.

case I think is fairly straight forward, no travel history, both parents at marriage, significant number of people at marriage, and I am Cnd citizen. have never ordered notes. hopefully it is a fast DM

Oh yes i am sure good news is on the way but if you had GCMS notes there is a column which has remarks by visa officer who assess medicals.That helps to know if everything went alright during medical examination.Nonetheless you never know what NDVO is really upto!

Hi Palaki and Chatwant I have applied on nov 20 2013 and got sponsorship approval on 20 dec . Jan 18 my husband got passport request ! We have submitted in Feb first week and when I did an MP inquiry recently they said the file has not been touched and asked to enquire mid July or after. So I guess its best not to go in for MP inquiry until late July or early Aug. Hope this helps.

I was expecting a lots of updates this weekend but nothing.its so dissapointing and annoying. Now i dont think we can we can guess any dates by ourselves.relying on these lazy bastards is useless.we should stop thinking and just wait and watch.thinking a lot wont speed up the process.
