This is weird...why are they asking so many sep applicants to go for remedical.Did your ecas mention before *Medical Results have been received*?
Did you check in your GCMS notes medical report column which mentions remarks by officer?Maybe they gave you an option to fly before medical expiry but you missed it....this happened to someone i know.

A lot of september applicants getting dm or in process right before their medical expires. I am sept applicant with medical expiring July 04, 2014, but they asked me for re medical.

in my case remedicals was done may 14 and ecas changed to 'dm' on june 21..about a month and a week to change after remedicals..some got it later and some earlier...

Thats why i am surprised why they ask for re-medicals.Is your case straight-forward?Any red-flags?
Have you ordered GCMS notes before?
Depends on NDVO but generally they take anywhere from 1-2 months(exceptions cannot be ruled out here) after re-medicals to make a decision on that file.

case I think is fairly straight forward, no travel history, both parents at marriage, significant number of people at marriage, and I am Cnd citizen. have never ordered notes. hopefully it is a fast DM

Oh yes i am sure good news is on the way but if you had GCMS notes there is a column which has remarks by visa officer who assess medicals.That helps to know if everything went alright during medical examination.Nonetheless you never know what NDVO is really upto!

Hi Palaki and Chatwant I have applied on nov 20 2013 and got sponsorship approval on 20 dec . Jan 18 my husband got passport request ! We have submitted in Feb first week and when I did an MP inquiry recently they said the file has not been touched and asked to enquire mid July or after. So I guess its best not to go in for MP inquiry until late July or early Aug. Hope this helps.

I was expecting a lots of updates this weekend but nothing.its so dissapointing and annoying. Now i dont think we can we can guess any dates by ourselves.relying on these lazy bastards is useless.we should stop thinking and just wait and watch.thinking a lot wont speed up the process.

Hello, I have been a casual observer of this forum the last couple of weeks. I need some help as I have been given a RE medical request even though my medical EXIRES July 04, 2014. So I am confused, how can medical expire before one year, I thought that the medical was valid for one year. So I am really confused, is this good news, or bad news.

I think you can consider this as a good news, as this means they have started looking at your file right now. It takes 10-15 days for just the passport in the mail, apart from the processing time (which includes security clearances, criminality checks, etc.). Hence they are requesting for re-medicals.

I am a Sept 26 applicant and my wife did her medical on Aug. 5, 2013. From the GCMS notes, her medicals expire on Aug. 13, 2014. You can expect you medicals to expire 1 week from July 4, i.e. July 12.

Did your spouse receive any phone call from the New Delhi office? Also, did you receive the re-medical request through email or a letter?

The reason I am asking is that we are hoping we get re-medicals request and my wife can delay her travel to Canada until end of August. She had a minor surgery recently and has been advised to avoid travel for some time.

thanks neha for the congratulations....i plan to stay until the last 2013 applicant standing.....before i land in canada, i hope to hit my 2000th post and get feted with balloons by abishek and pizza from andrewset....this forum helps people deal with stress and share pains and joys. If someone gets a visa we all congratulate him/her and if visa denied we offer emotional support and ideas to deal with NDVO; we vent out our frustrations on the delays and at NDVO...you don't get this kind of deal from anywhere other than family....

Thanks Dharahemant for the info....NDVO works bizzare, gives PPR randomly... U applied 5 days later than me but got PPR...maybe it is when file reaches NDVO and when the staff is ready to give AOR2.....you can guide us better, now...tc
