It all depends you who the MP is, mine made me come in to his office because there is a form that needs to be signed, some might not get this form signed by you and just do the inquiry with your e-mail request. I was just telling my personal experience and what my MP told me. He said that the first time I need to sign a form, so I need to physically come into the office, but each :)additional time after that I can just e-mail him. It will vary from MP to MP. The best way to find out is to give them a call.

ya in my case mp needed mine sign on the athaurization letter,so she can inquir our case, we contacted her by email, and she sent a copy of letter to me i printed out signd it and sent her back scan copy and thats it :)

Do you guys have any example of the email you guys may have sent to MP
If one can send it to me i am going to do MP inquiry in Calgary down town area.

well there is not purticuler format , you just need to send your spouse uci no. Full name, your address, including your name and address. WITh these detail you can request your mp to do inquiry on behalf of u, also ur mp may need a sign authaurization letter from ur spuse, thats it, and your ready to go, hope it works for you :)

...or in my case... wife is a born-and-raised Canadian citizen who is pregnant- and still waiting for her husband and had to suffer the stress of a long-distance relationship for so many months after marriage AND going through this pregnancy alone; doctors appointments, ultrasounds, prenatal classes (im the only one in the class whose partner isnt with her...) its SO hard.

We are September applicants, and now they seem to be working on August.

Baby is due in 5 weeks- its like a race to see who gets here first: my husband (in time for baby's delivery) or the baby (without it's fathers presence)! ......................*praying for the first option! ???

Hats off to you ladies, PC32, mariyam_nirb, rksandhu you all are doing great job. Even we (applicants) can understand the urgency of issuing visas to sensitive, delicate and emotional cases like yours, why can't government look into this. This is complete mismanagement, country like Canada can possibly take many approaches to solve this problem of long waiting cue. Someone should raise their voice, they treating us very unfairly.

After DM, will they update immediately from IN PROCESS to DECISION MADE??

Hi guys,
My problem is again the same...My daughter is not able to adjust to the Indian harvesting season...she isn't used to heat as she was born in US...we came to India for Canadian immigration but now I repent my decision of letting the child suffer withouy her dad in this heat and she has got bad asthma in India...im Nov applicant and there is no hope to join my husband soon...what are the alternatives...if we tlak to the MP showing the little one's medical reports, can she help hasten our process or would it be futile? I planned to do so but my relative told me to let it go, no one would listen...im so upset... :'(

Thanks Canvisa for your comprehension. I don't understand also how the governement can't be touched by our cases. This is a real problem. We are waiting as long as the others applicants, sometimes more, too long for a child or a pregnancy. Same for Ramkris who was sponsoring his child. If I was a visa officer, I would give direct visa to the husband of PC32 and all the women who has a child or are pregnants... but theses paid-officers still close their eyes... Ladies, be strong, we have to honour the womankind in this cruel waiting game!!!!

Maybe you could try to send a letter to the embassy (Or go direct to embassy) about your problem? Along with a medical paper? Or a lawer declaration? This is crucial!!!

I went to india last year with my son and he also lost a lot of weight, and had fever often. So I just came back to Canada. But your case is different if you can't go out of india...

Hi magessss, please check your inbox, I've sent you pm. Thanks.

Date of application received - 27/06/13
File transferred to Delhi office - 24/08/13
Passport request - 27/08/13
Passport submitted - 13/11/13

I first went to canada in 2003 on student visa , my visa expired dec 2008 but I over stayed with no status . I met my wife in 2010 and then in 2012 we planned to go back to India and get married . We got married in feb 2013 and she's stayed in India for six months , being a Canadian citizen she only has 6 month Indian visa . She visited me again in January 2013, but this time she only stayed for 2 month. She took my file with her and applied to mississuaga office in June . July 24,2013 they informed us that my wife is eligible to sponser and and file transferred to Delhi office . Then on august27,2013 they asked to submit passport with police clearance and right of permanent resident fee . So know I am wondering how much more time I will have to wait and also little worried to know if everything is fine because I didn't hear anything from them after that . Are suppose to inquire more from me , or to verify any document ?
Also to mention it was a love marriage which her parents didn't approve and they didn't even attend our wedding .

Another day gone, as usual, this week has also come and gone without any news. Every week is the same :(
