I'm still stuck at "we received your application for permanent residence on July 11, 2013" and "medical results have been received", another day, no news. Every week I think this is the week, this is the week, but every week I am hit with disappointment

When ur medical Expire and you should apply GCMS and have you done Mp Inquire.

The worst problem is different time zones, my husband starts his job when I get free and I start my job when he gets free, always waiting for weekends, its a completely inhuman insane process, either they should deny taking people from outside or they should do this fairly, why there is no check on them, y Canadian citizens don't raise their voice against the system, it seems like people aren't aware of their rights, everybody seems to be afraid of immigration, I haven't seen any body here who is not afraid, the only confident people are who get in process in time. I guess after that status they themselves realize they are in a genuine relationship. What a crapy system.
we chose Canada for a better life and now we are in a situation to prove our relationship genuineness on their presumed terms.
What if we give them on legal papers if we divorce in next 100 years, kick both of us out of your country, relation comes first, relation is important, not visas or pr's.

Medicals were done on May 13, I did an MP inquiry 3 weeks ago and found out that NDVO has not touched my file yet, and it was still waiting for "initial review", but interestingly my MP said that the medicals expire June 13 so it appears that they extended the medicals : :

exactly. ....we all r da first year of marriege..everybody knows dat how important dis first year in every married couples life...but they morons can't understand our feelings...I hate dese people. .

Its an very crap system I agree, I have read few cases where wife is pregnant in India and can't be with husband in Canada during pregnancy, what more genuine it can be then having child in relation ?? What kind of urgency they don't understand ? Its against human rights to keep partners away for this long period.

Yes it is true, but the first time you have to actually make an appointment and go to the office to do it, then the second time you can just e-mail your MP. This is my personal experience

yes, it is true. And you dont need to go to MP office. you can contact them by email only ....

yeah, it will be different for each MP, some will do it by e-mail, some will require you to actually come in. This was just my own personal experience that I had to go to his office the first time.

I am new in Canada, so need to find out first who is the MP of my area. ;D

Gagi007 - I am sure you must be very much frustrated the way NDVO is picking up files.I hope and pray you will get some good news this coming Saturday.

yes, it is true. And you dont need to go to MP office. you can contact them by email only ....

It all depends you who the MP is, mine made me come in to his office because there is a form that needs to be signed, some might not get this form signed by you and just do the inquiry with your e-mail request. I was just telling my personal experience and what my MP told me. He said that the first time I need to sign a form, so I need to physically come into the office, but each additional time after that I can just e-mail him. It will vary from MP to MP. The best way to find out is to give them a call.
