We have received your application for permanent residence in Canada and have created a file
with the file number indicated above. Please quote this file number in all future correspondence
with our office.

In order to expedite the processing of your application, we are requesting that you provide the
following as soon as possible:
 Proof of Payment of your Right of Permanent Resident Fee (landing fee) to our office
in Mississauga or by your sponsor in Canada, if not already paid.
 Submission of police clearance certificates for time spent in any country for a period
of 6 months or more, if not already submitted.

PLEASE RETURN A COPY OF THIS LETTER WITH THE REQUESTED DOCUMENTS. This
request is not a guarantee of visa issuance. If any other documents have been requested you
must also comply with that request. Failure to comply with the request may result in the refusal
of your application.

My wife has already paid the fees and submitted the police clearance certificate at the time of application in canada.
now my doubt is that do i have to send all this documents again and how long it will take further when i get my passport request because in feb my application status showed decision made and my wife got the mail from canada immigration stating that she has been approved to sponsor.

please help.

AS you / your spouse have already send them the documents earlier, you can reply to this letter as well as mention that the documents were already submitted, but kindly find the copies of the documents requested.

Hey Everyone...just wondering if anyone has any experience or advice regarding this...thx

We filed the original application in Sept. 2013 and it got transferred to New Delhi office in Oct. 2013
Then they requested the passport and we submitted that in November 2013

Currently it shows the following on their webpage:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CIC Application Status
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sponsorship
* We received your application to sponsor on September 18, 2013.
* We started processing your application on October 1, 2013.
* We sent you a letter on October 1, 2013 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Permanent Residence
* We received your application for permanent residence on September 18, 2013.
* Medical results have been received.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From the posts here, I understand that at the moment they are processing June-July 2013 applicants.

Now we have a bit of a problem as my wife works for the aviation industry, and her company wants her to have her passport back ASAP due to work at the international sectors.

Q # 1) Is a good idea to inquire or send new delhi office an email explaining our situation or would that cause any un-necessary delays?

Q # 2) Since its within the processing time, do they even get back to you for queries like these?

Q #3) Is there any provision where you can re-submit your passport at a later date?

Any Ideas? Advice? Recommendations?

Thanks a lot...N Good Luck to everyone whose eagerly waiting !

If you see the current status of June July only two more months applicants are before you for processing. If yours is a clear case in two months you may get your PR then what are you going to do is the problem that you have to look into. Any quary would take 30 days Your request to act would take 30 days. Further if they ask for the Passport would you be in a position to send PP. Any delay would affect your medical validity date and you may have to go for remedical then the delay would be more. Please weigh the Pros and Cons w r t the Job, Career PR and take a logical decision. However for your
Q1 - You can write to NDVO and Q2 you may get a reply in 30 days approx. Q3 Passport can be resubmitted at a later stage but delay is unpreditable. All the best.

Dont worry, this a generic request for fees and police clearance certificate, as processing time for spouse visa from New Delhi is 13 months now, they are asking passport at later stage, send them photo copies of fee receipt and PCC along with cover latter stating that you have already submitted with application.

Thanx naksa should I send them a mail or courier the documents at ndvo and the same to Mississauga. One more thingh regarding the police clearance certificate should I send them the one which I send them during the application in the month of October 2013 or a new one.
Thanx

You can send them either by e-mail or courier by quoting your application number and other details. PCC is valid for one year, You dont need to send new one unless they ask for.

Hello Chatwant,

Don't worry about this letter. This is generic letter sent out by visa office to every applicant. The documents they asked to submit are, to speed up the processing of your application, (IF ALREADY NOT SUBMITTED). But according to your post, you already submitted the PCC and RPRF, so need to submit those documents again. You will receive PASSPORT request within next two months.... this is how NDVO works.
One more thing the DECISION MADE wasn't on your application that was on your spouse's sponsorship application, that has been already approved and she has received the letter regarding that right. You can check your status using your credentials, This will be "Application Received".

Hope this will help you.
Thanks

Jass and naksa thnx guys.but I wanna know that now since my file has been moved to ndvo how can I check my application status or if u could please provide me with the link and secondly should I still send them them the details and how long will it take more and does it necceseraliy mean that I will get a visa since my wife is approved to sponsor

One ore thing in the application it's showing only medicals received and not the pcc.is it a reason to worry.

Guys...

Did MP enquiry and this was the repsonse they got from NDVO ..

"Please be advised that to date we have not received the medical results. Therefore further steps will be communicated in due course of time, to the applicant."

How could they have not recieved my meds after a year! :o..What nonsense!!!

And now what?!

The assistant did mention that she'll contact them again as their answer was very vague...but cant expect much from NDVO can we!
