We filed the original application in Sept. 2013 and it got transferred to New Delhi office in Oct. 2013
Then they requested the passport and we submitted that in November 2013

Currently it shows the following on their webpage:

* Medical results have been received.

From the posts here, I understand that at the moment they are processing June-July 2013 applicants.

Now we have a bit of a problem as my wife works for the aviation industry, and her company wants her to have her passport back ASAP due to work at the international sectors.

Q # 1) Is a good idea to inquire or send new delhi office an email explaining our situation or would that cause any un-necessary delays?

Q # 2) Since its within the processing time, do they even get back to you for queries like these?

Q #3) Is there any provision where you can re-submit your passport at a later date?

Any Ideas? Advice? Recommendations?

i am in canada he's in india....
how shud in asnwer this question form form IMM 1344
Question # 1 if found ineligible withdraw your sponsorship application OR proceed with application for PR

I dont use surname in my passport shud i leave that spot empty for surname and give my name in given name section

it shows on the website that it take 13 months for the processing of spousal sponsorship is it gonna take so long....

Please help how shud i answer this question

Hello, you need to select Proceed with application for PR
You need to type exact your name as it is in passport.
Currently it is taking 9-13 months for processing of spousal sponsorship from New Delhi.

Hello experienced people,

My file was transferred to NDVO on January 2014. I am waiting for PPR still and don't know when will I get the letter. Now, I am planning to go to Afghanistan and take my wife to dubai for a month. Will it effect our case processing time or it doesn't matter?

Hi, you can inquire about your ppr by applying for notes or doing MP inquiry, it will not effect your processing time when you travel and stays in any country for less than six months.

Hi guys

According to our gcms notes, medical & eligibility is in progress however criminality and security is not started. The notes read "couple's relation is geniune and they seem compatible" (thankgod )
The due date mentioned in the notes is 2014/04/01.
I am wondering how long the processing wil take further ? as this seems to be an unending wait...

Glad that they are working on your application, due date is today !! did you check your e-cas ? you should hear an update from them soon!

1. You can inquire about your current status of your application, it wont cause any delays, e-mail and address them your situation and they will reply you back after 30 approx days!!

2. They will get back to you with generic replies " It is in the processing time, Come back if you didnt hear in your processing time " etc etc

3. Since you had already submitted your passport, you can request it back via e-mail explaining your situation and again they will ask you to submit passport for processing (one of my friend had done this and his application got delayed for almost 5 months, it happened in 2012).

no...someone in this forum was saying that they have changed policies regarding asking passport early in the process ..I am not sure if it is true or not that they will ask for passport at the end of the process..if they ask at the end of the process then your problem is solved..but if they ask for passport now (they should have asked you by now) then you can send it later after your trip..your processing time is not affected by sending your passport later

I have my family member applied in June 2013. We were worried because his status was still application rcvd with no medical status. We thought they didnt received it but we did have a receipt...Made us all worried for nothing..

He got an email last week for an interview. Now the ecas status is App rcvd and interview date only..

with the file number indicated above. Please quote this file number in all future correspondence
with our office.

In order to expedite the processing of your application, we are requesting that you provide the
following as soon as possible:
 Proof of Payment of your Right of Permanent Resident Fee (landing fee) to our office
in Mississauga or by your sponsor in Canada, if not already paid.
 Submission of police clearance certificates for time spent in any country for a period
of 6 months or more, if not already submitted.

PLEASE RETURN A COPY OF THIS LETTER WITH THE REQUESTED DOCUMENTS. This
request is not a guarantee of visa issuance. If any other documents have been requested you
must also comply with that request. Failure to comply with the request may result in the refusal
of your application.

My wife has already paid the fees and submitted the police clearance certificate at the time of application in canada.
now my doubt is that do i have to send all this documents again and how long it will take further when i get my passport request because in feb my application status showed decision made and my wife got the mail from canada immigration stating that she has been approved to sponsor.

please help.

Dont worry, sometimes they dont put medical update on ECAS till you go on IP. Did you apply for notes to see any update on your file?

this is a generic PPR request NDVO sends to applicants. However lately as in your case they haven't asked for your passport till later on. You need not worry about the email if you have already submitted the required documents earlier. However it would be ideal if you sent them the copies of teh documents along with a cover letter stating you have already submitted the PCC and fees to NDVO. You can either sent it by post or even email them.
