Hello everybody, am June 14 applicant waiting so long for my hubbis status to b changed from application received.. No results yet.. But today I got my first notes of 28 pages hard to understand but on skimming it just got this much nothing started yet except medical shows in progress.. Can u suggest please what's imp in it I should look for... Thank you all.. U guys r real support in this hardship...

assuming that you had sent in your passport (if you missed your passport request then last few pages would indicate when it was requested), there is not much notes would tell you except if background security has been started or not, whether medical results received and further investigation is needed or not; when is the next review etc..last few pages will give you sort of summary of actions taken

if it is a love marriage, you can say 'we fell in love and education and age is not a barrier' if it is arranged marriage 'we liked each other the minute we saw..age and education are not an issue these days'.... something along those lines but be polite...while saying this, in your mind, you say 'you stupid idiot, still in 15th century mindset?'

applications are not processed sequentially like 'first come, first served'..so you would see some June applications are being processed first before April/May..besides, it depends on visa officers too..some work hard, some the minute they see it is requires more effort, set it aside....

Just got in Process!

Medical Done: April 15th 2013
App Filed: May 29th 2013
AOR: June 21 2013
Passport Request: July 3 2013
In Process Date: January 28th 2013

I did an MP inquiry a week ago and they said the VO recommended interview waiver and the medical was received (at this time ECAS showed "Application Recieved" ). The MP said that the only remaining is processing the medical and doing the background checks.

Hopefully everything is quick as possible now.

And just to let everyone know, my ECAS changed on Sunday to "In Process", but the date shows January 28th, and I'm 100% sure the ECAS was still Application Recieved b/c i check it like 2wice a day.

Good Luck everyone!!

Congrats!!! Hope it changes to DM soon!

It looks like NDVO has started working on June 2013 Applications.

Just checked now on ECAS it shows.

We received your application for permanent residence on June 3, 2013.

We started processing your application on January 30, 2014.

Now how long will it take to get the DM ?

Congrats for IP. Hope fully you will get DM soon. Minimum 1 week.

Hello All,

I am a Permanent Resident, got married on January 22nd, 2014 in India. I wanted to bring my Wife as fast as I can. Below are the two ways I think I can apply:
A. Sponsor her (outside canada) and wait till she gets approved.
B. Apply for Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) and get her into the country for limited period (less than 6 months).

Can anyone please tell me if I can apply for both above cases A and B. I really appreciate any responses. I was told by an agency that a PR holder cannot apply for TRV for his/her spouse.

Thanks,
Arravv

Congratulations on your wedding! I am sure the both of you want to be together as soon as possible, hence your question.

Unless your wife can show really strong ties to India to show proof that she will return to India after TRV expires, you will not be granted TRV.
You can apply and see, but I would suggest concentrating on your PR application and submitting that as soon as you can since it takes some time to process.

If your wife gets TRV, she cannot work and she will not have health coverage, which might not be good with the cold weather in Canada currently.

Just my thoughts.

You can try for her TRV if she is going to be Home maker and not going to take up job. In which case show proofs her employment in India Property etc that she would return to India. Generally they do not sanction and advise you to go for Sponsorship. Now things are moving relatively faster compared to previous quarter. Applying for her PR is a permanent solution just you have to join the waiting game like the forum members. Wishing you all the best.

Thats true bro...but you know around 80% Jan-May applications already processed...so the files those are still pending must be something wrong with them...and we need to know about it
